2014 Dodge Dart Sedan - Ratings List

Vehicle Tested 2014 Dodge Dart GT Sedan (2.4L 4-cyl. w/opt. 6-speed Automatic) Driven On 4/15/2014 Ratings Summary Wider availability of both the larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a traditional 6-speed automatic transmission (vs. the turbo-4 and twin-clutch gearbox) have improved this sedan. While the GT model's sport suspension aids handling, ride quality suffers and overall the Dart continues to lack the refinement of its top rivals. Rating Details
Vehicle Tested 2013 Dodge Dart Sedan Limited (6-spd manual w/opt 1.4L 4-cyl. Turbo) Driven On 5/23/2012 Ratings Summary This rating has been carried forward from a prior year because the newer model has no substantial differences.

The Dart is a roomy compact car with responsive handling and good refinement. The turbo engine has some idiosyncrasies but has solid acceleration when called upon. A competitive car in its class. Rating Details
Vehicle Tested 2013 Dodge Dart SXT Sedan (w/opt 1.4L 4-cyl. Turbo and 6-speed Automated Manual) Driven On 3/6/2013 Ratings Summary This rating has been carried forward from a prior year because the newer model has no substantial differences.

We like the Dart. It's a roomy compact car with responsive handling. We even like the optional 1.4-liter turbo engine. But the optional 6-speed automated manual "Autostick" transmission (not a true automatic) makes for lurchy driving, especially at low speeds. This car is a solid "B" with a stickshift, though. Note: The base 2.0-liter engine is available with a true automatic, but we have not yet sampled one. Rating Details
