I recently took my truck to jiffy lube because I had no cold air coming from vents. he did diagnostic and said the level in tank was at 0 and he never came across that before. long story short, he filled tank with freon and it held pressure fine. the ac that cost me $150 to fill worked for about 4 days...now nothing. Need help! I recently purchased a 2006 Doge Dakota with a 3.7 litre V- 6 engine with 17,000 miles. There is a ticking sound coming from under the plastic manifold on top of the engine at idle. Does anyone know if this is normal or some kind of valve tap? Also, the engine seems to wonder in RPM's like a variable idle speed...not much, but enough to hear and see it on the ... Read More...

I just popped on here to see if anyone had issues with wheel bearings. I have a 2001 with over 300,000 miles and no issues but.. I have a 2006 with 85000 miles and it is definatly having a growling out of one of the bearings. It does not seam to change when i trow the weight from side to side. I have a hesitation around 40mph on level roads. Changed tranny oil, new plugs, air filter, new TPS. No codes tripped. Problem gets worse in hot weather. Dodge garage could not find issue on first visit.....not sure if I want to fork out more money. Any ideas? Read More...

My 1998 Dakota Club Cab started going bald a couple of years ago (2006 or so) and now has great balding patches on the hood, roof, "A" pillars and tops of the fenders. It got a new catalytic converter (2 actually) free from Daimler Chrysler, so I was wondering if there is any action with them concerning the paint jobs? Read More...

I'm hoping someone can help me, I own a 2003 Dodge Dakota it came equipped with a 4.7 magnum engine, I had to have the engine replaced and opted for a 4.7 2006 engine. Since the installation I don't have as much power as before, is there a difference in computers between the 2003 and 2006? I own a 2006 SLT Sport CC Dakota 4.7 and tow a boat and other loads. I also own and tow with a 2006 Nissan Xterra 4.0. The Nissan pulls just as well, and gets avg 19 MPG towing while the Dakota drops to 15 MPG.
