If only Dodge would take care of this issue! I bought a 2000 Dakota new in March of 2000... By September of 2001 I had already had the front rotors turned or replaced 5 times without fixing the issue. I pursued a Lemon Law claim in Washington State and Got a new truck. might sound weird but check your ignition switch and/or key. easy way to check: with your engine running try shaking your key and see if it stalls. hope its something that simple good luck Read More...

Dataguru, I own a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab and have experienced the same problem. The engine light came on and using the ignition-odometer check it displayed engine code P0121. Im assuming the problem is with the TPS sensor voltage. My question is how do I tell if the sensor has the wrong voltage and if so how do I switch it back? On my 2001 quad, that relay is underside of the dash to the left of the steering column. If you never pulled the lower steering dash cover to see exactly where that relay is, it's probably best to remove that lower cover attached with the 3 screws. Jody, I see you never had any replies to your problem. I have the exact same problem with my 2001 Dakota Quad 4.7 Auto, and the dealer (Triangle Dodge in Graniteville, SC) has never been able to solve it yet. They've tried everything.
