Welcome OCcarbuff. I'm glad to hear that you read the forums so much. The money factor that you were quoted for the Charger R/T that you are interested in is way too high, unless you're talking about the SRT-8 version of the Charger. Chrysler Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T 2WD with 10,500 miles per year ... Read More
I just went and looked at the 'Toxic Orange' Charger R/T with black leather interior and a few upgrades at our local dealership. Yeah, I now want one. It'll be a little while until I can get my wife to consider letting me ditch my Civic ( http://www.chevynovaln.com/Honda2005/ ), though i doesn't hurt to start looking. The 2011 looks great. I was looking at an AWD R/T about 2 years ago ... Read More

Hey Larry! I am having the same problem with Waco Dodge. I got a new 2008 Avenger RT from them less than a month ago. There are some scratches on the car and on the steering column that was there when I bought it. I showed it to my salesperson when I bought the car. Since then I have just been getting the run around from them and the manager. Did ... Read More

I started to notice a drop in shift quality between 1-2 in slow moving traffic situations after 30000 miles. Computer has been reset, fluid exchange performed, and now a road test at a dealer by the leading tech supervisor of tranny and his asst who will drive the car tommorow will hopefully get to the bottom of this. The check engine light has not turned on. I am hoping they dont just ... Read More
I have a 2008 charger 3.5 with the same shutter problem in transmission between 1st & 2nd. Less than 400 miles on it. Returned the car to the dealership for repair. Was told the following day by service tech, this was a normal condition & i should drive the car more aggressive. They even put this on the service ticket. I again returned the charger for repair & they installed computer ... Read More
Hey Folks I've never owned a Dodge but I am thinking about a Charger SRT-8. How is the build quality? How about Dodge customer service? Also, a local dealer has a 2007 and a 2008 unsold on the lot (never titled). Is an unsold 2007 a red flag for something is wrong with it? I know what TMV is as far as fair prices for a used 2007, but I can't ... Read More
Are you still having this problem? I love my Charger SE Plus, but I am hearing the same noises. I think this happens the worse when I am driving at constant speeds. I have to increase the speed of the vehicle in order for the noise to go away. The constant whistling noise outside of the vehicle is the fuel pump (at least this is what the Dodge technician has told ... Read More

Hi Car-Man I am looking at a pretty well optioned 2008 R/T AWD. Do you have residuals and money factors for a 36 month/12,000 mile lease? Also, what do you think of the $2.99 gas offer on a vehicle such as this vs. rebates, which I think are $3,000-$4,000 right now? Thanks!

Hi lewielew. Let's work up a sample lease payment on this car and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2008 Dodge Charger SXT that has an MSRP of $26,385 and a selling price of $23,045 ($500 over invoice minus the $2,000 cash incentive) through Chrysler Financial right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly ... The G8 is a big car just like the 300, how it would be that much better just doesn't 'figure'. I agree with captain2 100%. I would have a much higher expectation of a BMW than a Dodge Charger. Not to say people can't be satisified with their purchases. I give my BMW a 100% rating including the service department. My Subaru about a 70%. People who buy high-end cars and don't do their homework wind up with less than stellar experiences and it reflects in the ratings. (Actually people who ... Read More
Hello, Can someone, please, tell me what the residual value for a 2007 RT would be on a 36 mo lease, 12K miles in South Florida? Also, would the number be any different for a 2008 Charger, same conditions? Thanks in advance! Nayden
Greetings rain33. I don't personally know much about what if any changes are being made to the 2008 version of the Dodge Charger, but you may be able to find out by visiting the following discussion: "Dodge Charger 2006+". It's difficult to say what the 2008 version's lease program will be like when it is introduced. I personally doubt that it will be any better than DaimlerChrysler's current lease program on ... I was talking about real world numbers not some fictious number made up by the EPA, as I know of no Chrysler product that meets let alone beats it's EPA numbers.
