I would agree with farout here; I think they are all the same. And I just bought an 08 Grand Caravan. And, I would add that I don't believe the Japanese cars are more reliable. However, I do believe that the service departments at the Japanese dealers do a much better job to give the appearance of reliability. They really seem to emphasize fixing it right the first ... We have replaced the transmission twice in the last 6 years. Problems started this way: First it would seem to down shift. Secondly it would be really hard to put into park. Thirdly, was forced (I guess) into a gear and would not start up again. We do beleive we have it in park (it will not move) but it still won't start. The Intrepid came out in 1992 as a 1993 model. I had a '93 Intrepid bought back by Chrysler under owner's arbitration. It led to a worst '94 Dodge GC and the last product I'll ever buy from that company. The Caravan has been around since 1984, not 2001. I had a 1993 Eagle Vision, the sister to the Intrepid. Is the Odyssey worth the price premium?

I have been following this forum on and off since last September. That was when I purchased a 2006 Odyssey EX-L. I also own a 1999 Dodge Intrepid ES and a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring. In my opinion the Odyssey was a better vehicle than the similar DC offerings. The real question in this forum is how much more the Honda is worth than the DC vans. When you look at the ... During geophysics field school, we took some 2004 Dodge Grand Caravans on our trip. At high rpm, the engine sounds like crap (raspy and weak) and the power drops off rapidly. The same thing happens to my mom's Intrepid. They feel anaemic going up hills. I had to try and redline the thing just to pass on the highway, and I only had one other person in the van.
