I purchased a 2008 Prius from Lakeland Auto in March 2008. After researching online using Edmunds and a couple of other car pricing companies, I contacted, via email, 3 area Toyota dealers. Lakeland Toyota was the easiest to work with and the dealer most willing to negotiate, first via email, and then in person with their online sales person. When ready to make the final purchase, armed with all of my internet research documents regarding the price of the Prius I was looking for, a calculator, and quotes for my trade-in vehicle (a 2005 loaded Chevy Uplander), I made an appointment to meet with their online sales person and ended up in a loaded, top of the line (package #6) Prius, in the color I had wanted. I also received a very fair price for our trade-in vehicle. Lakeland Toyota was able to beat the other competitors I was working with by $3000 on the overall transaction (price of the Prius plus the trade-in value for our van.) As long as you have your P's & Q's in order and are willing to be patient (the overall in dealership store took almost 3 hours of negotiating), I felt this dealership was quite willing to work with a person. If treated in a similar matter in the future, it is very likely that I would purchase another vehicle from this dealer.
