I searched locally. I searched state-wide. I searched the internet. Finally, I found a dealer that would actually work for me to find the vehicle I wanted 250 miles away, and they did it with a smile! This is my 6th new car buying experience. The best experience I previously had was with my first Suzuki at Dale Jarrett in the Charlotte, NC area. That was an SX4: my first Suzuki and it won't be my last. That was the best car buying process until now. But, it was nothing compared to the service I received at Pantili in West Virginia. Brandon Kitts, my sales guy, was the most efficient, trustworthy and easy-going person that I have ever met at a dealership. Angela was the most honest and pleasant finance manager I have ever dealt with. The final numbers with an extended warranty and gap insurance turned out to be a great deal with $2500 cash back and a 2.89% rate. Amazing! How did I end up driving 250 miles to get what I wanted? It was a matter of availability of the 2010 Suzuki Equator Extended-cab, 4WD with a V6. All other dealers I searched at in all of NC, SC and Virginia were stymied in their efforts to find one for me. The crew-cab seemed to be scarce but obtainable at a few dealerships. But I needed an extended-cab that was 4WD. I'm just not that into a 4-door pickup truck. Most of the sale including price was handled by email and phone. I had only a limited amount of time at the dealership so, when I arrived I was promptly greeted by the salesman I had never met, he took me into their garage where I had a good look at the spotless Equator they had obtained for me, then went for a test drive. I was not disappointed. The truck almost rides like a car. The 17" wheels give you that extra height to get a good look down the road and the road noise is low. It has plenty of reserve power to use when needed and the CD player sounds phenomenal. The cruise control is at your right hand thumb on the steering wheel and braking is smooth. The seats are comfortable. It holds the corners very well for a pickup. I love the spray-on bed liner and the tie-down rail system. An excellent idea!! No rattles, no clunks, no problems. I highly recommend Pantili if you are in the market for a mid-sized pickup. You can't beat the embedded quality of a Nissan in this Suzuki, with a great warranty to go with it.
