Definately sliding down hill...

I have had several Ford's services with this dealer that I had bought other places, including some relatively major body work after an accident several years ago, some extenisve warrenty work on one car (transmission) and somewhat minor warrenty work on our current car (brakes). I have had nothing but pleasent experiences with their service and parts people. About 10 years ago my wife and I needed a reliable cheap car, so I went and bought an Escort from them It was a relatively pleasant experience, picked out a car from their stock, didn't need to haggle too much to get a price I though was fair and we got in and out in about 3 hours. Three years ago, we went back after our second child for a bigger car. The second expereince was much different from the first. I had them quote me a price on a vehicle on the internet, but when I went to pick it up they tried to sell me a different car. When we started for the door, the manager got involved and they did scramble and found us another car, actually an upgraded model, at the quoted price. But it took forever to close the deal. My wife and I were at the dealer for something like 6 hours waiting around, at it was mid week during they day and we had scheduled the appointment in advance. Plus their showroom and waiting areas are pretty dirty and dingy compared to other dealers I've dealt with, so it was not really a pleasant wait, but in the end we got our car and I will say I was pleased with the follow up from the dealer after the sale. About a year ago, my father passed away. I had refered him to this dealer. He had leased a new vehicle and he passed with about 1 year left on the contract. My mother wanted to return the car She was aware of the financial ramifications of turning it back in and was prepared for it, but she was not at all prepared for the absolutely horrid treatment she received from Bill Peirre Ford, at just about every level. When she called to find out what to do, they kept saying to call the finance company. The finance company said to just take it to the dealer...and back and forth. They were extremely rude to her when she finally got it delivered to them. Recently salepeople from this dealer have been basically harassing me on the phone, trying to get me to trade in my current car. It is getting particularly irritating and I am pretty sure I am now done with these guys.
