In general, I felt the staff at Barrier were professional and responsive. They offered me a very fair trade-in value (first time ever for a dealer in my experience) although I ended up selling that car for private party value on Craigslist. The corporation I work for is a corporate partner of Mercedes, so I qualified for an automatic fleet discount, so the price was more than fair and no negotiation was required. One thing that struck me was that when I asked whether all-wheel drive was a popular option in this area, the sales manager told me that every time it snows (once or twice a year, its Seattle) they sell a lot of them, but that it is basically unnecessary here unless I ski a lot. She said it wasn't worth my money otherwise. That kind of behavior was noteworthy! The dealer located and reserved a car that was destined for another dealer because they didn't have one that met my particular requirements on the lot. As a customer, I have access to free automatic car washes at their car wash for as long as I own the car. This was the best car buying experience I have had.
