Re: XC90 HELP [kylechoffman]: by craigsuvbuyer on Mon Dec 10 22:12:06 PST 2007; Here is what I was quoted from costco: xc90 6cyl, AWD, Prem, Vers, Climate and RES w/ standard paint $39.5K + $500 gift card. That is with all the discounts and incentives. Although others claim to have gotten free DVD, costco and the dealer say it is not possible with the discount. My main concern is $500 extra which the dealer claims is Volvo advertising fee. When I calculate invoice - $1000 -$3000 I get $39k. Does anyone think this is legit and are others being charged that fee? I am in northern va. Thanks.

Buying 2007 S40 around DC area: by cming on Wed Jan 10 09:55:41 PST 2007; Hi, there. I was recently involved in an auto accident, and now I want to buy a car with high safety standard. I plan to buy a Volov S40 2.4i. Anybody here recently bought 2007 S40 around Washington, DC area (esp. northern VA area). Which dealership is the best, and what price I can get. I sent out an online request to 3 dealerships (Don Byer in Fulls Church, Dulles, and Fairfax Volov), the response is lukewarm. Thanks very much.

Mileage: by lweiss on Tue Jan 02 13:16:02 PST 2007; I don't have the S60, but my trusty 1998 Volvo S70 (120K) miles averages 24mpg combined city/suburban/some highway. And it is the non-turbo version of the S60 engine. One thing about Volvos- even my old car does not rattle, it is still as tight as a new car and has a solid feel to it. And still the seats are awesome, the controls are nicely laid out, and it feels safe. Maybe that's why people keep them so long.
