4mercoachrick, Alex, Thanks for the responses. That helps a lot. I am in Houston, TX - so my experience would somewhat mirror yours' (NYC/Highway and central TX). Aside from the mileage, how has the vehicle been? Any reliability issues or annoyances? Thanks again.

Volvo OSD Experience and Deals in TX? by shibs1031 on Fri Feb 03 10:58:28 PST 2006

Looking for some feedback...the wife and i are planning to purchase a XC90 2.5T. The dealer was telling me that is it cheaper to have the the SUV made and have us go to sweden and get it delivered. has anyone done the overseas delivery option? Also, I have another dealer quoting me $40,191 (plus ttl and fees) for a '96 XC90 2.5T with: Blue Metallic Paint Climate Package Premium Package Convenience Package Premium sound and the Bi-Xenon Lights I am in Houston, Tx. What kind of deal have you all seen in this area?

Re: Quote on new V8 [tdo123] by c130 on Sun Jul 10 19:36:35 PDT 2005

I ordered my 2006 Xc 90 V8 from DeMontrond, which is just north of Houston,TX. I live in The Woodlands, TX, so this is my closest dealership. I looked all over the country trying to find a Black Sapphire, Taupe Leather V8 with Climate, Touring, Convenience, Bi-Xenon, and Rear Seat Entertainment. Superior Volvo was the closest dealership with the exact car in stock, and my wife went to University of Kansas and we were married at Ft. Leavenworth. They actually had two identical. I was going to buy from them until I spoke to the sales manager. I was told by him that they "had moved on" from me and were not wasting their time because they weren't going to sell less than $1,000.00 over invoice. So I moved on and ordered a 2006 and gave $500 over invoice, which seemed okay for a 2006 model. The bad part is I have to wait until September to get it, but the unbelievable part is the dealership is letting me drive a 2005 XC90 2.5 at no cost until my new one comes in. They gave it to me as a loaner. I couldn't ask for more I don't think. I was eligble for the X Plan also, butI think you can do better than that price.
