Isn't the MSRP actually a shade north of $42000? So your pretax price is ~$2K off sticker. IMO, that's not too bad for a 2012, but certainly not the 'fantastic' deals you read about on this board and others :) . We just scored a pretty good deal on our new C70; but when we bought the eleventh XC60 sold in central Texas two years ago, we paid within 500 bucks of full sticker . Safe and Secure is worth a bit, hard to pin down an actual value. Mayhaps you could hit them up for the super financing deals that have been around for a couple of months.

Just wondering if there are many 2010's left in dealer inventory. The dealers seem to not share too much online about there stock levels. Looking locally here on LI, NY the seem to have very little of '10's or '11's if the web sites are to be believed. If anybody has any recent buying experience (Sept/Oct) in the NY Metro area I'd love to hear it. The '02 S60 is going to the kids and I honestly prefer the current S80 to the New S60. If not, maybe next year? Dave

I am in NY and received a quote of 41,300 for the same car even down to the color. I think the car should sell for 40k. Hopefully someone else who had some luck buying a 2011 can chime in.

Please let me know if somebody talk to a dealer about xc60 R design, I got a price for Passion red with climate+ multimedia +PCC+BLISS ( MSRP 47350), this car is in stock (just came from the truck) - 44880 and the guy will wave title and registration fee( 652.00 for NY) , he will charge me only 100.00, other dealers quote between 45600 and 45120.Wwhat do you thing ? Buy or wait ( I could wait, but R design is limited production and sold out even for overseas delivery up to know, new orders could be placed in a middle of April for July delivery for 2011 models, but it could be a price increase for R design) , my wife is pushing , she likes a car.
