The only leverage you have is to ask what is the best price they can give, then maybe ask for $1500 off that price, and if you don't like the answer try somewhere else. You can always come back. I wound up paying invoice - my $500 Costco discount offset the $500 advertising fee. With 8 Volvo dealers in the DC area, could/should I have gone around to get a better offer? Yes, but at the time my previous vehicle was dead and I wanted to order ASAP and I did right after the test drive. Also because of the economy I wanted to support the dealership closest to my home. I didn't haggle at all, maybe I should have asked for $500 off! Oh well.

Re: Volvo S60 T6 lease [mcup] by spursfanatic on Mon Jan 23 11:43:31 PST 2012

I actually don't remember the residual or money factor but I am about to close on a lease for a 2012 S60 T6 AWD Seville Grey with Blk/Beechwood leather, climate and premium package: 36 month lease w/12k miles per year Selling Price (before taxes and fees) - $38,364 MSRP - $41,625 Sales Tax - $1233 NJ Motor Vehicle Fees (3 year reg $310 plus doc fee $286.75 plus tire fee $7.70) - $604.45 Total Intial Payment (1st month's payment, acquisition fee ($995), registration and doc fee) - $2080 Monthly Payments - $488 It works for me, I think it's a good deal and it is a much better value than what I am being offered on a comparable BMW 3 or Audi A4.

Re: 2012 l ballpark monthly question? [autoboy19] by xchelp on Tue Jan 10 06:27:00 PST 2012

I live in NJ, i thought all taxes were up front but i obviously don't know much. The 37.5k that i heard in the original discussion was not given again over the phone it was the msrp 39,775 that was used in their breakdown. Of the 4,200 down i think taxes were .07*(msrp39,775-resid20,680)=1,336,50. Again I am a novice so i could be wrong, but in general have you heard of other people dealings and whereabout their leases $ are? Thanks

no loyalty rebate. 1000 dollars below invoice is only an average price. friend bought a xc60 t6 premium plus, climate, dynamic, blis, nav prep with MSRP 44870 and sale price is 41111.

Yeah, I'm not buying it. Maybe with Volvo loyalty. About all you can expect in the DC region is about 500 above invoice and then loyalty subtracted from there. Thats where all their true car numbers are for everyone in that region. Why give up what seeminly dealers cannot keep in stock? Your better negotiating with te dealer closet to you, for reasons of long term you will be servicing with them. If they have what you want in stock believe me dealer trades in te Volvo world for xc69s are never guaranteed jump on it before someone else does.
