MSRP-41,245;Dealer Inv-38,970; Lease Terms are: 39 mos, 12,000 mi per year, $3253 cash @signing; $578 mo. pmt; Cap cost-35,770; Residual factor-44%, money factor-0.00235; this is supposed to reflect the incentives of $4500. and moonroof is free. Cash covers Tax,1st payment,etc. Should the dealer be taking incentives off the dealer invoice instead of MSRP? Any feedback on whether this looks like a good deal would be appreciated. Thanks

XC90 new or slightly used v Pilot v CX-9: by sam191 on Wed May 27 09:03:23 PDT 2009; My family has narrowed down the field to these vehicles. Pros and cons to all, but price is a major factor. CX-9 is best by 3-4K. I really like the XC90 and would love to purchase. What can we realistically expect for a new 2009 XC90, I6, AWD, 3rd row, moonroof vs a 2008 (same package) w/8-15K mi and are the finance rates that much different (from volvo)? We could probably get the CX-9 (touring) down to 28-29K and the Pilot EX-L down to 30K here in Mass. Any advice would be useful. Also, should we buy before End of month or wait til June? BTW, we have an XC70 so would get loyalty bonus (is tha given on used as well). Thanks.

Is this a good deal: by nikjreece on Sat Mar 21 18:56:14 PDT 2009; I just got a quote from a NJ dealer for a 3.2 XC90 AWD with Climate, Convienance, Premium, Versatlity and RSE. It's black metallic. It's a 36 month 15K mi/yr. They told me $661 month with $1175 due at signing.

VOLVO S40 Lease rates: by shop4cars1 on Tue Feb 24 16:36:46 PST 2009; Hi Car_Man, I'm shopping entry-level luxury sedans and don't see any recent info on the Volvo S40 Lease Rates. Do you have that info? I see they're running a special on the website for 299/mo, 36 mos, 10.5K mi/yr with 2K down. I'm hesitant to put anything down because I am one of those unlucky people that this forum discusses in theory who had their leased car totaled after driving it for less than 5 months! Ultimately I lost about $650, but still...lesson learned. Is it realistic to think I could negotiate with Volvo to keep the monthly payment below $300 with only first payment down? Thanks for your help!
