Looking to buy another XC70 in New England
by saabv6 on Wed Jan 31 11:41:35 PST 2007
Finally getting rid of our 2001 Saab 9-5SE and contemplating a second XC70. Already own a 2004 base model - 58,000 flawless miles, rock-solid in snow and inclement weather - it's been a terrific ownership experience. Can anyone offer insight on what 'out the door' prices are for '07 XC70's (premium/convenience/climate/bluetooth)purchased in ME/NH/North of Boston? Are there any Volvo factory rebates at the moment? Many thanks!

new XC70 in KY
by barclaybear on Sun Oct 16 00:25:03 PDT 2005
The lease on my 2003 XC70 will be up in a couple of months and I've started doing some looking. I have LOVED this car! I prefer to drive a car that is always under warranty so am looking for an '06 XC70 lease. I have had some serious sticker shock! I am currently paying $480 @ month plus taxes which brings my monthly lease payment to $525. My lease is for 36 month with 15,000 miles per year. I leased this car in ME and don't know if that is the difference in cost. My local dealer tells me that I will have to pay well over $650 a month for a similar '06 XC70. I have and want the premium, convenience, climate pkgs and the booster seats. I'm devastated that my beloved wooden steering wheel is no longer offered on the XC70. I cannot understand the huge increase in price as the sticker price is not very different. On my present lease, I paid $2140 at signing plus I put up multiple security deposits in the amount of $5500 (which I would do again). What can I expect to pay in the next couple of months? I'm tempted to just buy my car at the end of the lease, but I really prefer to drive a car that is under warranty - fixed income, fixed car cost.
Deals & selection of options

In order to get a crystal green 2.5T loaded with everything I want (including that hard-to-find wooden steering wheel) I will have to buy the navigation system. $2000 seems like a lot of money to spend, when if lost, I can use my cell phone to call or check my Thomas Guide. Yet everyone I talk to who has a navigation system absolutely loves it! What am I missing? Also is it worth stepping up for that premium sound system? Thanks in advance for your feedback... Deals-2.5T AWD vs T6
by mesherry on Thu Feb 12 18:43:36 PST 2004
I thought the hype had died down on the XC90 and hoped to get a deal. My experience (after calling dealers in several areas of California) is that you are lucky if you can get $500 off MSRP on the 2.5T. There seems to be more price flexibility ($500-$1500) on the T6, since the dealers have alot more of them in stock these days. I had difficulty finding the 2.5T loaded with the options I wanted in the right color, too. (I still wish I could find the one I want with a wooden steering wheel to add pizzazz to the plain interior.) While I did like the drive of the T6 better, the "green" aspect of significantly better gas mileage on the 2.5T is important to me, and the T6 sells at a considerable premium to the 2.5T anyway. I'm about to pull the trigger...any advice or feedback? Thanks, ME in Malibu
