My XC90 lease in Ft. Lauderdale: by mbeam on Sun Dec 02 14:16:51 PST 2007; I received telephone quotes from 8 different Volvo dealerships in the Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale/ Orlando area. This is what I ended up negotiating. I know it is a great deal and you just have to work the competition in your area or within a 250 mile radius to save the money. I ended up with a 3.2 FWD with premium package, BLIS, convenience package, versatility package, and the wood steering wheel. My payment is $527.36 without tax, with tax it is $559/mo. It is 24 months with 12, 000 miles per year. This is with $0 down. The first payment and tag were included in the original price. So, I will only make 23 payments. I didn't write a check to drive away. My advice to the marine is to e-mail the internet sales guys with what you want and the best that they can do. Then ask each one to de better than the other. Don't take your first offer.

So if someone is buying (not leasing) on the Costco deal they pay invoice, less $3000, less $1000 Costco, plus get $500 Costco cash card, right? Now for the entertainment system you state "dealer charges you $1800" or $1823. So you're saying this is an added cost and not a "freebie"? Also, is it true as Edmunds states in their incentives section that you also get $400 if you finance through Volvo?

And the "complimentary rear seat entertainment system" only applies to the lease I believe. My big question is this: why is Volvo doing this? Low demand? Acknowledgement that the vehicle is overpriced?

If the invoice is $41K and there is a $3K incentive your starting point should be $38K, and since it's a demo I wouldn't pay that much. Great price if "new" and low mileage.

I've been shopping the Acura MDX and I have never before considered buying a Volvo but with these discounts ($3,000 factory to dealer + $1,000 Costco + $500 Costco cash card) I may have to consider. I see the Costco deal is based on "employee pricing". Any idea how this compares to msrp or invoice?

Good Offer???: by stax369 on Mon Oct 17 13:23:22 PDT 2005; I am curious as to what fellow board members think of the offers I was proposed by 2 dealerships in Colorado. 1st offer: '06 S40 T5 Auto MSRP 30,335, offered it at a lease price of $26624. 2nd offer at another dealer: '06S40 T5 fully loaded MSRP of $34500 offered it to me at a cap cost of 28800. What does anyone think??? Problem is, I've got 2 trades to figure in the equation '03 Explorer, and an '01 Mustang that I owe a combined 23k on. Dealer 1 said they'de give me 20k for both and dealer 2 said he'd pay them off but I'd have to come up with 3k down for the advertised monthly lease pymt of $399 pr mo. Can anyone tell me if these are good deals or if there is room for more negotiation.. I would be very grateful for any wise words of wisdom Thanks!
