I went to Danbury, CT dealership today. Here is what I got: MSRP: 41,350 Invoice: 39,070 -$500 for Volvo allowance on XC-90 7 passengers. I saw the chart and each car is different. -1,500 for Volvo Loyalty -500 for Costco -500 for "Flex" which was some other deal Sale Price - $36,070 Then you got another $500 Costco gift card after a survey.
Is this Right?

The Volvo website is advertising $3000 "allowance" for a S40 2.4i. In addition, the current incentives I found online include $4250 Alternative Lease Assistance cash for the 2010 model plus $1250 dealer support ($3750/$3000 for 2009 model). I know that sometimes incentives are regional (I live in CT), or cannot be combined with other deals, but I can't find any language that restricts it. Is this for a specific model within the S40 family, or a model with restricted equipment? If not, at first glance, it appears we can lease a $30k car for 60 months @12k miles for about $300. Plus have the car under bumper to bumper warranty with free scheduled maintenance. Any insight? Thanks!
Re: Why don't they sell more XC70s? [blckislandguy]

So why don' t they sell more? In a rational world.... My take on it? Women hate station wagons, and love SUVs.. If it rides up high like a truck, you can sell almost any piece of crap... but, if it rides a little lower and looks like a wagon, you can't give it away.. Which is why they have a Venza instead of a Camry wagon. The new CrossTour, instead of an Accord or TSX wagon.. And, why Infiniti has a $5K incentive on their not tall enough EX35... It's also why the new Caddy SRX, which is a warmed over FWD-based Equinox, will out-sell the new RWD CTS wagon by 10-1.. even though the CTS wagon is by far the better vehicle.. It's only old guys who like wagons.... and their aren't enough of us around.. You may disagree... ;)
Lease

Looking at a lease on a 2008 XC90 V8 in CT. Car is loaded, all packages, versatility, etc. MSRP 48,825, Willow green paint, 12000/36 mos. With incentives, dealer quotes price of $35,583 inc. 6% tax, not including fees, $0 otherwise out the door. This was the dealership test-driver- has 76 miles. Money factor .00185, depreciation 37%, payment $610 Seems high to me. No allowance for 2008 depreciation, either. Thoughts?
2008 s40 Lease ?Purchase? numbers?
by s60leaser on Fri Jul 04 10:11:14 PDT 2008
Hello there Carman and everyone Any numbers for the S40 in the CT-NY-NJ tri state area for an S40? The S40 seems to be a great compromise from the higher priced S80(an excellent car!) without sacrificing safety. May lease or buy, depending on the numbers. Likely 3 yr/36-45 miles very few options,2.4i unless the incentives etc make the AWD model a better deal. No leather, no climate... Happy 4th of July to all!
S40 -vs- C30
by s60leaser on Wed Jul 02 07:39:15 PDT 2008
Hello again Carman! I am turning in my s60 and s80 leased cars(FINALLY!) for one car and am looking at the S40 and C30, primarily to save money but stay with a Volvo for the safety. (And I love driving a Volvo :) )With all the bad economic news, what are the current lease and buy deals in my area? I am in Ct.and can use the COSTCO auto buyers program The one dealer phone call I have had so far mentioned lots of different numbers.(What a surprise) Of course, he immediately told me the best deal is on a move from an s60 to s80, even though I asked about an S40 and C30... S80 #'s: $7,250 discount non VCF lease $1,000 rebate(?Why?) $500 COSTCO program discount =$8,750 Off INVOICE? Can that be right? But, on a approx $40,000+ car I am still at 32K and a Mo. pymt around low 4's incl. tax. I tried to get some S40 #s , as I had asked for. Nothing yet. The C30 he mentioned at $ 23,718 as a starting price,$750 purchase rebate or $1750 lease rebate, no more details than that. So, QUESTIONS: What numbers can I expect for the S40 and C30 ? RV is important as I am still considering buying this car-now or off-lease. Any info on the safety of the C30? Any Volvo loyalty I can take advantage of? Is the COSTO program worth using for Volvo? Once again, your insight is appreciated -and VERY helpful knowing these things before the first sit-down...
