denver s40 T5 AWD today!

I'm so excited about the lease I got this evening! After a few long hours at McDonald Volvo in Littleton, CO. on Saturday and an insulting lease offer of $450/month and $3500 down over 48 months for the S40 T5 AWD manual with premium package. Last ditch offer from McDonald was $370/month including taxes, $3500 down, over 35 months for a S40 2.4i manual leather seats. Today I went into Rickenbaugh Volvo in Denver, CO which is 1 mile from my house and was pleasantly surprised! I hinted at already shopping at their competitor and they barely bet them by $10 a month, but when I stood up to leave they came back with this deal that I signed and drove off the lot! S40 T5 AWD Manual Metallic Blue Premium and Climate package + Premium sound and Sirius, keyless. $370.69/month including taxes for 35 months $2316.85 down $34825 MSRP $25861 Adjusted CAP $14975 Residual 12k miles/year Our salesperson said there was no difference between manual and automatics residual value and that basically denver had the same lease incentives as NJ or anywhere else. Over all it was such a positive experience having told them about the deals people were getting on this website! They were willing to match it because I did my homework and wasn't going to be satisfied until I got my price.
S40 T5 AWD recent price

I j ust closed a deal for a new 2005 S40 T5 AWD from Roaring Forks Volvo (Glenwood Springs, CO) for a final price of 28,100 (13.5% below MSRP). S40 T5 AWD Leather seats Climate package Select Package I spent a lot of time reading various posts from this forum and many comments were very insightful (thanks!). So I thought I would share the deal I reached. I qualified for the $500 recent grad discount but that was all. The MSRP is listed at $32,513; we left the dealer on Saturday standing at $29,700. We are leasing; $5000K down (including first payment), 15K miles/year, $345/month payments, 39 months. The dealership is very good and honest; I am very happy with the deal. Much of the information the dealer shared with me was verified through research on my own. He also mentioned that it costs them $200/month to keep a car in inventory. Identical cars (but different color) were quoted at $28,100 by Rickengaugh Volvo in Denver which I used to negotiate a lower price with Roaring Forks. I also checked an identical configuration on www.carsdirect.com and the price was $400 higher than my $28,100. Just thought I would share the info and hope it helps other people out.
Bought XC 90 2.5 AWD

Picked up a 2005 Crystal Green Metallic XC 90, 2.5, AWD. It has: Premium Pkg, Versatility Pkg Climate Rear Park Assist One Child Booster Seat Price for everything with Destination, handling, all EXCEPT for TTL was $39,387. Bought from McDonald Automotive in Denver, CO. It was an easy buying experience through the Internet Sales manager, via Cars Direct. I probably could have done a few hundred dollars better, but the dealer gave me a very good price in June, then dropped the price yesterday when the new incentives came out. It is not worth it to me, to beat the heck out of 3 dealers to save a few hundred dollars, my time is worth something. Also, they found financing at a better rate than I could easily find. Since this is a 2005 the Free Maintenance will save me a some money. This is the 2nd car we bought from them (first was a VW) Overall of an excellent buying experience with very fair pricing right off the bat. Not much more I can ask for. Even better, the car drives great!! We live in the mountains of Colorado and no power problems with the 2.5. It is not the V-8 but a great balance of power and fuel economy for such a large and safe car.
