Re: '07 College Grad Lease [madastl]

Greetings Adam. I don't know how Volkswagen's recent college grad program impacts it, but I can tell you what this car's current lease program is like. Volkswagen Credit's current 36 month buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 2007 Rabbit 4-Door with 12,000 miles per year are .00312 and 60%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 48 month lease of this car are .00332 and 52%. VW Credit's numbers for a 36 month lease of an otherwise identical 2007 model are .00312 and 56%. Its 48 month numbers are currently .00332 and 50%. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
'07 College Grad Lease
by madastl on Wed Sep 27 06:11:51 PDT 2006
Car_man, Do you have the money factors and residuals for both the 2007 Rabbit College Grad lease and the 2006 Rabbit Advertised lease? I'm interested in the 4-Door Rabbit, 12k miles per year, 36 or 48 months -- for each program. I'm looking to lease this car by the EOW. Thank you for your help. - Adam
Re: NYC lease of gti or rabbit [Car_man]

Hello Car_man (i will soon make that gti jump....honest) Here is what i was offered by the VW dealership in Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. This was for a 2007 GTI Auto 2Dr United Grey with Package 2. We didnt discuss MSRP but was told invoice price including destination was $25236(which she didnt agree to sell to but felt that i would be able to). Edmunds says MSRP on this is 26965 and Invoice is 24931(incl destination). On a 36 month/12K lease, I was told the residual was 59% and the money factor 0.00319. Her Monthly Base payment she calculated to $429(before tax). My Initial costs she said would be $2818.43. This Broke down as: Acquisition fee $575 Security Deposit $450(should be zero based on it being our 4th vw lease with no security) Tires Inspection Fee $12.50(5*$2.50 per tire) Documentation Fee $45 Inspection fee $10 Upfront Taxes $ 1296.06 (My tax rate being 8.375%) & First Month payment of $429. Does this sound right? She is adamant the 24K invoice price that edmunds states is incorrect. I was hoping to have payments around $350. Would that mean going for a 2006? What do you feel would be the positives/negatives on going 07 Vs 06. I admit i need to read up on the slight changes between the years. Thanks for any help from yourself or anyone on this.

I think that is the *Driver's Option* Program; that is not available here in California... Truth told...It only matters if it works for you...If you have any other questions; we can talk in the AM: 888.556.3849, if you like... Just remember that I am on Pacific Standard Time!
Passat deal looks good
by acrafton on Sun Mar 10 18:28:43 PST 2002
VWGUILD, Thanks for the suggestion on the Passat forum - I took it and found a dealer advertising on their site the following: 2002 Passat GLS Auto, Monsoon, Homelink MSRP - $23830 Their price - $21799 Or using ballon financing (used instead of a lease in Texas - you own and the last payment is the residual - turn it in or pay it off 0 down and $299 month for 48 months This looks really good to me - thoughts? I finally did it. After months of reading and researching, I took the plunge. To make a long story short, I went through four dealerships before I found one that would give me a reasonable quote via e-mail or telephone. I paid $20,679 for a 2001 Passat GLS 1.8T. It is silver with cloth interior. I also added an in-dash CD player. The total price after taxes ($620.37), tags, title ($56) and documentation fee ($169) was $21,524.37. My wife has put over 500 miles on the car in four days. She loves it! FYI, I was pleased with the experience at Bob King VW in Wilmington, NC.
