Dealer Incentives on TDI Sportwagon?
by getwired on Sat Jun 13 12:07:38 PDT 2009
If people are reporting paying under invoice for a TDI Sportwagon, there must be a dealer incentive. Anyone know how much? I'm guessing about $1000. Thoughts?
Jetta SportWagen TDI Incentives?
by getwired on Wed Jun 10 06:22:16 PDT 2009
My dealer is offering to sell me a TDI Sportwagen for invoice. Asside from dealer holdback, are there any incentives that I am unaware of that I might be missing out on. This would be a special order, not vehicle on the lot or dealer transfer.
new purchase

I just bought a two-door, manual with Alloys, $15,900 OTD (or about $15,100 for the car excluding TTL but including delivery). Thought it was a fair deal; the dealerships in Raleigh and Durham NC, though owned by the same company, compete fiercely against each other. Let's hope the reliability matches the assembly quality.

My new TDI!!
by xertes on Thu Sep 04 08:50:06 PDT 2008
I just picked up my brand-spanking new 2009 VW Jetta TDI on Tuesday, 9/2/08. I had not ordered it or anything either! I had been talking to the dealership about their White demo model, and the saleswoman called me one day and told me that a Black on black TDI sedan with the Auto transmission, Loyalty Edition, had just "shown up" on their latest truck and gave me the opportunity to place a deposit on it, so I did! It took about two weeks to sell my old vehicle, and the dealership held the TDI for that long, even though they had others coming in with cash in hand! Overall, the experience was fantastic, took me about 1-2 hours to close the deal. They charged me MSRP of $24,190, so after taxes, tags, title and doc it was about $25,385. AND I'll get my tax credit this year. I bought my car from Frema VW in Goldsboro, NC and would definately recommend them! All the other dealerships I spoke to in Raleigh told me that if I got on their list, it could be September, or it could be next March before they had a TDI to sell. :)
Deals that I got: Passat 24 mo (12k/yr) lease
by saipreet on Thu May 01 09:22:03 PDT 2008
Hello: Here are the details of the lease offers I received last night (end of the month) from dealerships in the Raleigh Durham area. I did not buy last night (though there was intense pressure!) and I'm wondering if i did the right thing this morning! 1. For a Turbo (base model) with heated front seats: I was offered $355 a month for 12k/yr lease for 24 months. Negotiated sale price: 23480 (including $940 tax, title, doc fees). Residual was at 59%. 2. For a Komfort model with heated front seats: I was offered $389/month for a 12k/yr lease for 24 months. Not sure of the sale price on this car because the dealer didn't give any. He merely suggested this as an upgrade. The one thing I noted was that he mentioned something about owner loyalty casually - i think he offered me the $389 figure only if I qualified for that. I dont! So I guess really the issue that's bothering me is: should I have walked away from the Turbo deal that is in #1. I wanted the united gray color but they didnt have that in stock in either trim and offered me other colors (another justification for why I didnt buy last night even if the deal was spectacular!). Your feedback is appreciated. Maybe I'll learn to jump on a good offer when i go to the dealer this month! ONE THING MORE: I live in NC now but am moving to Indiana in 2 months. I am debating between leasing the car in NC and driving it to IN or leasing it in IN. So far, every dealer I have spoken to has said that VW has a good dealer network and that I should have no troubles in buying in NC and relocating to IN. That's true, isn't it?
