I forgot to mention in my first post that I got the automatic transmission. The dealer had to ship one in from out of town because they didnt have any jetta's with tan leather on the lot. I wasnt thrilled about waiting a week to get my car, but the car looks real sharp and i'm glad i didnt settle for the grey or black interior.

Jetta 2.0T lease or buy for my daughter: by billiea on Sun Apr 16 10:35:59 PDT 2006; Hello, My daughter will be going to college soon and has her heart set on a jetta 2.0T automatic. (Am in Omaha, NE) I am clueless on my best option. Buy or lease. Wondering what my best lease option payment would be for 48 months. Why would I want 24 months ? I noticed most discussions center around that time frame. Is there a monthly price difference for one over the other and also open end vs close end lease...are the payments not the same ? I want to know lease payments before I go in and learn I have been taken by not knowing what I should have been offered as my best deal. Thank you, Billie
