R32 Delivered
by rmorin2 on Fri Dec 28 13:39:19 PST 2007
My salesperson, Francisco, from King VW in Gaithersburg, MD delivered my DBP R32 this morning. Took a nice drive with my 3 grandsons and daughter. The car is everything I expected; good power, decent room, great handling, and a nice ride. I am very happy with my choice.

2007 passat Value package 2.0T manual purchase info
by sammya_md on Thu Oct 19 19:45:25 PDT 2006
Hi all, Just wanted to share my experience. I bought a 2007 passat value edition/package (the base model, no package 1 or 2.etc) for 22,900 OTD here in MD. We have 5% tax which is included in this price. I think if you work backwards, the price before taxes, tags, etc is 21500 (roughly)..but we negotiated on an OTD price, so I am not really sure. They can break it down however they want. Was a relatively pain free deal at King VW in gaithersburg, MD. Great price on a great car, espically a 2007 i think so early in the year. Just sharing my expereience and to help others

2.0T Arctic Blue Silver/Black Interior w/ Package #2 MSRP 28415 Selling Price 26050 including 99 processing fee. Also using standard VW money factors in the lease. King VW, Gaithersburg, MD, 20 miles north of DC. Dealer had no problem with me publishing the numbers, so I expect they'd do it again. This is an Internet deal - contact the Internet manager. Has been extremely pleasant experience so far; picking up car on Friday. Full details at Post #151 on the Leasing Board. Hope this is helpful. Brian
Made the Deal Today; Taking Delivery Friday
by marshallcpa on Tue Feb 21 18:35:48 PST 2006
I made what I consider to be an extremely good deal on a Passat lease today with King VW in Gaithersburg, MD, approx 20 mi. north of D.C. I negotiated on price without mentioning that I wanted to lease, then when we had a selling price nailed down, I told him what the lease payments should be based on the National Program published by VW credit. Ultimately, they agreed with the base money factor. They say it is $700 below invoice, plus a $99 processing fee, which is a pretty standard fee in MD. Their "invoice" is several hundred more than Edmunds information, but is consistent with the listed invoice pricing at Fitzmall.com. May be marketing fees or something like that. Ultimately, I think the deal beats even the best deals offered at Fitzmall.com by several hundred. I will pick up on Friday, and will post to let everyone know how the final details work out. I am about 200 miles away, and they are going to overnight the paperwork to me so my wife can sign without making the trip. Even more importantly, I will have the final papers in hand so I can't be held hostage to new/added terms after making a long trip. I have no reason to believe that would happen with this dealership - they have been great throughout, even honoring my request to do everything by email. So having said this, here are the details: MSRP: $28,415 2.0T Arctic Blue Silver, Package #2 w/ Black interior Invoice: $26,651 (per the info they provided) Less: $700 Plus: $99 processing fee Selling Price: $26,050 Using Standard VW lease program: 48 months/15k miles: Gross Cap: $26050 Residual: $13923.35 (49%) Money Factor: .00154 $0 Cap cost reduction In addition, I do NOT qualify for the $500 VW Loyalty. Base Monthly lease payment: $314.20 Lease Payment including 9% PA lease tax: $342.48 Total Due at Delivery: $1390.98 ($595 Acq. fee, $350 security Deposit, $342.48 first month payment and $103.50 tags (including 60 day MD temp tag)) Asked them if they wanted me to publicize the numbers, and they said sure. As such, it sounds like they would do it again. Current program ends 2/28. I did this deal through the Internet Manager. January sales numbers for Passat seemed to be fairly strong, so there is a decent chance, in my opinion, that the March lease program may not be as favorable. At this point, I can't say enough good things about the dealer. If you contact them, tell them where you got the info. Sorry for being so long winded, but hopefully those who stuck with the post found the information useful. Brian
2k marketing support on Passat?
by beachdriver on Tue Apr 12 20:57:05 PDT 2005
Want to buy an 05 Passat GL Wagon TDI. (Got my new Suburban in Nov. 04..just in time for the oil spike). Anyway, Ourisman in Laurel, MD quoted an internet price of $917 below MSRP. King VW in Gaithersburg, MD quoted $22,570 on a vehicle with ESP, ($2685 below MSRP and $603 below invoice) Just as I thought I found the impossible deal, I noticed on Edmunds that there is a current promotion of $2,000 "marketing support" for the dealer, in lieu of low APR financing, (thru 5/2). If that's the case, the dealer is still holding about $1400 on the car. Is this correct??? Is anyone getting a base model like this for well below invoice? BTW, a nice german sounding salesman from another dealer tells me that not only is the Passat being totally redesigned for 06, but the TDI will not be available for the first model year or more, since VW can't get them into CA and 3 other states. Anyone else heard this? I'll still happily buy gas for my 'burb while towing the boat and driving on the beach, but this car makes a hell of a lot of sense for all of my other driving, (and still can fit in spouse, two large teens and two labs!) Mechanic tells me the engine,if maintained is good for 300-400k. Is that possible? Will the rest of the car still be there? I have little familiarity with the vehicle so all input will be greatly appreciated!!!
