If so then your cost before TTL and any reductions is about $400 over invoice. About a month ago I leased a similar car, 3.6 w/Lux #1 and DVD Nav for $500 below invoice before TTL and any other reductions. Don't know where you're located, but I leased mine in Tampa, FL. Check fitzmall.com and you'll see that most, if not all, of their Passats are offered below invoice. Your deal seems fair to you and the dealer, but you may be leaving some money on the table. It would seem that you should be able to get them below invoice. Tom

2006 Beetle diesel with pkg 2 otd price,: by pups on Thu Mar 09 12:06:17 PST 2006; Have been seriously looking for a 06 Beetle auto diesel and have gotten similar price quotes throughout the Tampa Bay area. No dealer seems to want to negotiate the price. It is the full MSRP plus. I can only find two beetles in my area. Have ?? regarding the fuel re: can these diesel engines take the new biodiesel fuel? If they can where does one purchase the new fuel in Pinellas County, Fl; and how much does the fuel cost per gal. Don't know if it is really worth the cost(to buy beetle) if I don't see major miles per gal. Have read that the Beetles have major maintenance cost associated with repair to engines. Any feed back. Also the cost quoted to me, not out the door have been over 22,200, w//o pkg 2. Would like to know what others are paying for 06 coupe, with pkg 2, automatic, diesel engine, color red or blue, moonroof a must. Speedy replies welcome. Want to purchase soon. Don't want the dealers to think I am jerking them around as I am a serious buyer.

2006 VW Passat 3.6L: by sdoo25 on Sat Feb 18 19:32:12 PST 2006; I wanted to get some input on the following Passat: Passat 3.6L Package #1 Luxury DVD Satellite Navigation MSRP = $35,130 Invoice = 32,245 From my research I come with a range from $32,700 - $33,400 as a fair price. I've been to the Fitzgerald Auto Mall site and most of their 3.6L's are listed at or below invoice, as I'm in Tampa, FL this doesn't directly help me. I wanted to know what anybody has paid for this vehicle, especially in the Tampa/Orlando area, and what anybody has paid for any Passat in the Tampa/Orlando area. I've been reading the forums for a while and have gotten many good tips and advice. Thanks for everyone's input. Tom

I really don't like the colors offered with the Golf but I am worried about ConsumerReports.com poor reliablity ratings of all VW's? I reviewed a website talk forum over Christmas time and there were many first time VW owners who were ditching their cars after 1 1/2 to 3 years because of maintenance costs? There were trading in for Toyotas and Hondas where to keep the warranty you didn't have to go through so much money in scheduled maintenance.
