I had been searching for months and months for a new car lease, but was left feeling bitter, dizzy and frazzled after going to so many dealers that would give me the runaround and try to screw with me. I was so sickened by the way I was treated and all the stigmas about the car buying process proving true, I thought I would never see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then came, Honda Dulles... I was immediately greeted at the front desk and was asked to wait, but was then immediately greeted by Brandon. He sat us down briefly, asked what our needs were and then encouraged a test drive. Although it was 95 degrees outside, he had no problem at all pulling the car from the back corner of the lot and bringing it around to the front so we could wait inside with the A/C. I am a bit particular and he ended up getting 3 different cars for me, ensuring it was no trouble at all to do so. His "I'm on your side" low pressure sales approach was refreshing, to say the least. He was fair, to the point, didn't use the "waste my time and get me to waste a whole day in there" approach and had no problem at all going to his manager with my offers. He made me feel like he was on my side... Not long after we started negotiating, getting straight to the point, Brandon brought his manager over, Russell, who was very nice, professional and to the point as well. Low pressure, easy going and approachable. I told him my terms, he told me what he could do and fair enough, we shook on it. Done deal... easy, peasy. We had a little hiccup with the credit, but Russell personally offered to look into it further with HQ to see if they could still meet our terms. He offered to let us take the car home and said that he would let us know next day what the outcome was. We opted to not take the car because if we had to bring it back, it would have been a pain since we live 30 miles away and DC traffic is a pain. We were prepared to drive back up the next day after receiving the wonderful news (first thing in the morning, btw) that we were approved and were getting what we wanted, OUR terms. However, Russell took it a step further and offered to deliver the car to my place of work. How convenient?! Another 95+ degree heat day and here comes Brandon with my car, all the way from Dulles to Pentagon City, detailed and already with PERMANENT tags, taking the inconvenience of having to go to the DMV out of my hands. Wow, how much better could this get?! Needless to say, I couldn't have been happier with my purchase and my experience. Maybe this could be a lesson to other dealers out there... a "snake-like" approach, the wheeling and dealing, making a customer feel pressure and/or taken advantage of them, waiting for them to get to their car having left the building and only then willing to negotiate simply doesn't work. There were plenty of cars that I had seen and was happy with prior to my visit to Honda Dulles; a few of which I much preferred and would have bought if it weren't for the daunting, dreadful high pressure sales I had incurred while trying to do so. The laid back approach, the "I'm on your side" feeling each (and every) employee gave, the fact that they seemed to "care" and actually worked with integrity to earn my business, this was priceless to me. I got the car I wanted, the terms I wanted and service unsurpassed by any others I have come across to date. My expectations were not met; they were exceeded. Thanks Brandon and Russell for everything. I couldn't be happier with my "burgundy n gold"... I love my car and couldn't be happier with the outcome.
