When I purchased my Volvo, I knew that maintenance was going to be high, but never expected the cost of service to be so exorbitant. Electric mini switch replacement in seat over $900. Replace small spring in drivers seat (it fell out, so I asked them to replace) $234 written quote. I decided to replace it myself and in about 10 minutes, fixed it. Cost? $0. Electric switch replacement 9 days with order from Sweden, $600. At least I had a loaner car and they were great about that. My Lexus never needed this type of service and what service I had was substantially faster and cheaper.
