We bought an Le FWD pkg. 3 on the 1st of Sept. and paid 25,000 after rebate +TTL in Nashville Tn. We live in Memphis and this was the closest dealer to take my offer of 25,000. We didn't have the luxury to bargain too low a price because there just aren't many around here, none in Memphis like we wanted(2 CE and 1 Le Pkg. 2)and were pressed to get the 2,000 rebate before it expired. On the Siennaclub.org forum, I read where a lady bought one around April or May for 24,500 some odd dollars and I just told them I knew they could make money on 25,000 and they took it. The dealer there claims they are the the biggest in 37 states and that they like volume. They had to get it from another dealer and one dealer here in Memphis could do it too but they wouldn't come off 26,700. I believe you're getting a good deal you better hurry while you can.
Bought One!

After a week of E-mailing dealers, phone calls, and trips to 4 different dealers I finally bought a 2007, RAV4, Base, 6-cylinder, 4-WD, Pacific Blue, Ash int.,with options of Carpet Floor/Cargo Mat, DT Running Lights, Roof Rack, Tonneau Cover, Tow Prep Package. Window Sticker was $25,689 and I paid $24,000 plus tax, licensing, and a $149 Document Fee (which I had to fight to get down from their normal $349). Being in the "boonies" I will have to drive 130 miles tomorrow to Memphis, Tn. to get it. I know this isn't the hottest price I've seen here at Edmunds but it was the best I could negotiate from any dealer within 200 miles. I also found that the Base Model with 6-cyl. & 4-WD were quite limited in availability, especially without the Moonroof & 3rd. row seats which I didn't want, and in Pacific Blue color which I did want. Most of the smaller dealers I contacted simply wouldn't negotiate more than $500 off Window Price since this car is in such demand. I was also surprised that only about half the dealers I contacted via E-mail even responded to my E-mails requesting info. So, I'm excited about my trip tomorrow and become a fellow RAV4 owner and affectionado! Thanks for all the help and info. I have received from this site.

I bought my Carmy LE, yesterday. OTD price was 22,267. I took a warranty of 7yr/100,00 miles and 4yr/55,00 maitenance also teflon coating thing total which came up to 25,500. I am now thinking that I did a wrong thing by taking that 7yr/100,00 warranty thing as we anyhow have a 3yr/36000 warranty for toyota. Can I go back to the dealer and say that I want to take that off and adjust the whole thing ??.. I bought this car in Memphis,TN at Performance Toyota. Thanks, VJ

yep thats true... u gotta be dreaming I'm negotiating mine in Memphis,TN(Camry Le 4cyl with moonroof package) The least invoice i have seen is 19,685 (something like that). I have been to performance toyota and he initially told me the price would 22,899(inclusive of all taxes). Today he told me i can take the available color(Silver) for 22,000. But I wanted Magnetic Gray exterior so i didn't go for it.

Thanks for the reply..I should have been really dumb for not giving the details of the car and area.. I am buying the car in Memphis, TN. Its a company package of Toyota Camry LE 4-CYL with all other standard options, with moon roof. I am not even going for Alloy wheels. The invoice price the dealer gave me is 20800.The doc fees is $385. With taxes everything, he gave a quote of $22,899. I know it can be brought down. But I just want to know how to negotiate for it..??? Thanks VJ.

I don't think that I am getting through to you. The MSRP is not set by Toyota or the local dealer, but by the Toyota Region. If I buy a car in Wynne, Arkansas (SE region)see www.rosstoyota.com, the fluff stuff will be part of the MSRP. This MSRP will be the same at any SE Region dealer. If I buy in Memphis, TN (MI, OH, KY, TN region)see www.wolfchasetoyota.com 40 miles away, this junk will not be part of the MSRP. I can go to all three dealers in Memphis and the MSRP will be the same at each of them. Check out for yourself.
