Re: Atlanta area - Pkg. #2 [gadriver4]

Not quite. Roswell had quoted an internet price of $22,700, which initially sounds very good. However, the OTD price on pkg. #2 ends up at $26,127 (including 7% sales tax). Like you, numerous dealers want you to pay the $700 for the Toyoguard protection group -- rubbish! I don't want it either. The prices I've encountered so far have been $25,800 to $26,200 OTD. I'm not finding ANY Prius on ANY lots. I did find one in Greenville, SC. Contemplating if I want to drive 3 hours to buy that one. It's either that or ask a dealer to "order" one in their May or June allocations. Are you looking for a particular color? I'm partial to Silver Pine Mica, but like all Prius's, there aren't any on the lots. Stay in touch with me and let me know if you find any better deals than I've found thus far!! Edmunds.com shows a TMV price of $23,763.

Hey, thanks for the headsup about motoralley. I took a look there, and boy is there a big gap between the pricing of say, even the dealerships in Greenville, SC, and Columbia. I wonder why is that? I'm trying to debate whether it's even worth it for me to look anywhere else since I am upside down in this Kia. I have an appointment with Florence Toyota Tuesday, so I have some deciding to do there. You know how they say hindsight is 20/20? Well, I'm feeling that in spades! I have to ask myself, "If you know you like Toyota, why are you in a Kia?" ;)

Congrats on getting just the Prius you wanted. Toyota Southeast is almost a separate entity from Toyota America and they really stick it to you for documentation. BTW, the forum moderators have no problem with us mentioning a particular dealership that served us well but they would prefer we not post specific names of the folks that served us.
Price on 2007 Prius #2 Greenville, SC
by prius07 on Tue Feb 20 15:57:47 PST 2007
I bought a Prius last night from Toyota of Greenville. Price paid for package #2 plus floor mats was $22,200 (includes $675 destination for being in the southeast) plus $289 docs, $675 NC tax, $56 tags; $23,208 out the door. Claire Olsen-Ramirez is their internet sales manager, and she's terrific to work with. She found me the color I wanted from another dealer so I can pick it up tomorrow. It took almost an hour to get the last $200 off, but they finally agreed. Also, Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville, NC has no haggle pricing for just a few dollars more than that ($22,498 plus tax plus $85 tag = $23,258 out the door). Ask if their finance department charges a loan fee, though.

Can you tell me what is your invoice price and what is your OTD Price? How to get $2000 rebate? My email address is tom568@gmail.com. Thank you very much!
Just Purchased in Greenville SC

We just purchased a 06 Sienna LE w/pkg 4 in Greer SC. I paid $200 over invoice and then -$2,000 rebate. (invoice price verified by several sites) Maybe not the best deal, but I wanted package 4 and they only had two left and the other had a $2,000 DVD player that I did not want to pay for. The other LE they had just had package 2. The buying experience was very pleasant, except the dealer was packed. If I made any mistake it was not buying on the 24th, the dealer was empty then, but I waited until the 26th and they were packed. It did not effect the price, I had already agreed on the price on the 24th, but it took a long time to do the paper work. This is the first car I have purchased in a long time I must say the buying experience was much better than when we bought our first Van in '98. In '98 I did all of the research on the Internet before going to the dealers which was good because I found most of the sales people back then pretty clueless. The time we have spent the last six weeks researching vans and found some very helpful and knowledgeable sales people. I really liked the dealer we used. No kids selling cars, all of the sales people and business people were professional, helpful and not very pushy.
