I live in PA and bought the Highlander at Conicelli Toyota in Norristown PA. I emailed Turnersville Toyota in NJ and they were very interested in my business. However, by the time Turnersville replied I had already finalized the deal with Conicelli which is closer and more convenient to my home. I would definitely recommend shopping VIA the internet. Just pull up dealers that are close to your zip code and check their inventory on their website then go in and test drive and see which dealer has what you want, when you want it, at the price you want. There are alot of Highlanders out there and dealers willing to work with you - especially if you are willing to wait (Christmas is good time to buy). Make sure you have your invoice pricing from Edmunds in hand with you. I also gave the dealers a date when I wanted to buy and had my own financing. One more thing, I also checked Carbuyingtips.com for info. Although it portrayed car salespeople as the underbelly of America - and was quite amusing - it did have some very good information. I read through Edmunds' "Secrets of a Car Salesman" too which was informative as well. Ironically, there were some dealers who never responded to my email and did not seem to be very interested in doing business. The one thing I must say about Conicelli is that our salesman definitely wanted to sell us the car and worked hard to close the deal. Good Luck and when you are negotiating, remember the Golden rule.. "He who has the gold, makes the rules". If you are unhappy, just walk. There will be another Highlander at another dealer waiting for you to buy it!
Price paid for 2008 HL Sport 4x4

We just drove our 2008 Highlander Sport 4x4 home last night and it is perfect for our family. We got the following: Magnetic Gray, black cloth interior with FE, EJ, EH, CC, QR, SR, TO, MF, DK, CT and paid $31,700, less a $2000 trade-in for a final out the door (incl. taxes, tags and destination)of $31,600. We did negotiate back and forth but all in all it was a pretty good purchase experience and we are happy. We bought it at a big Toyota dealer in Norristown PA. I have to say that this forum as well as the "2008 Highlander" Forum was a tremendous help in doing all of the research prior to our purchase. I utilized the mulitiple dealer price quote function with Edmunds, the MSRP, Invoice and TMV pricing info. I learned about purchasing cars online and used Fitzmall.com and Darcars.com for benchmark pricing during negotiations -(these dealers BTW had very good prices, too). I have read thru all of the test drive comments and honestly love everything about the car. I do not feel "the float" as some posters noted. I am, however, what some of you call "a soccer mom who wants the function of a minivan with the look of an SUV". I guess I am the epitome of Toyota's Highlander target market (except that I am a football mom). I love the versitility of the stow-n-go, and the fold down third row seat, which is certainly big enough for my 5'10" son. The interior of the car is very roomy. Finally I love how it looks on the outside too (the RAV 4's big brother)and the quiet, comfortable ride. We plan to keep this Highlander for a long, long time. Thanks to all the posters for the great information!I will highly recommend Edmunds to anyone interested in a new car purchase.

Looking for a ballpark number on Toyota fees
by ralphs007 on Tue Apr 18 14:25:43 PDT 2006
Hi I live in PA. 30 minutes west of Philly. I'm trying to find out what fees toyota is going to charge me for my new 2007 Camry. I'd also like to have a ballpark number for the total cost of these fees. I'm trying to get my numbers in order, so I can make an OTD offer. Thanks Ralph
