Re: TDA [ratomlinson]

Can anyone explain why TDA amounts vary? Is it a regional thing or a dealer thing? Lancaster, PA dealer has a TDA of $962 on a 2008 Sequoia Platinum. Seems higher than any other TDA's that I have heard about.

www.fitzmall.com www.koons.com www.darcars.com . They are located in washington DC area. I looked at all of them for my recent car buying and helping my dad, my girlfriend ($$$ :D ). . Some of them have price listed. It may not be the lowest you can get, but you can save some time for price negotiation. Others simply put MSRP and "invoice" there for reference purpose. All of them have their inventory posted, so the bottom line is, you can ask your sales to "move" the vehicle you like for you if he/she wants your business. . When I looked at minivan for my dad, I also searched for Honda, the only one available on the web in our area is www.joneshonda.com at Lancaster, PA. . There must be more out there for other areas. If any one knows additional "online inventory/pricing" sites, please share with us. I personally don't like the "online quote" which you have to leave your phone number before you can get the quote. Some of them still kept calling me even after I told not to call me, -- you soon will have all sales persons' name working in that dealership. . Hope this helps and always exercise your best judgement.

It does not have satellite radio, and to install it they are quoting me $695.They are showing a MSRP of $39,107. They are quoting me $36,750. What does anyone think?
Re: buying sienna thru costco or carsdirect [skinnytony]

Skinnytony, I got my XEL-RES from Sussman Honda at Roslyvn. I bought an 2003 Accord from the same dealer and the GM of the dealer was trying to do me a favor. I picked it last Saturday. They did not have the color I want, and they locate one from a different dealer at Lancaster, PA. I got mud guard, pin stripe, and also wheel lock, plus cargo tray for free. The last two items were for the extra miles I got from the EXL-RES, since it has 230 miles when I took delivery. Good Luck!
Just signed for an LE 7w/ package BW (Safety)

I just put down $500 for this Sienna, they're going to do a search for it and I'm agonizing over the color--I haven't decided which one yet. I first said I want OTD price and did have a trade. I wasn't happy with their first offer for trade so they did a little better but not great and told them that we'd think about it. I called them back later and asked for their best price with no trade and they knocked $1480 off MSRP. Originally they were just doing MSRP plus trade. I found out accidentally from another dealer that that dealership will usually deal since they're a little out of the way. I tried doing a little research over the weekend regarding my trade and I don't think it'll be an easy sell, so when I go back in to sign all the papers I'm going to see if they'll consider doing the trade anyway. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. By the way, the price OTD is $28,121: $26,411 for vehicle with BW package #7, $1584.66 tax,$63 registration, title, tags, $55 doc. fee, $5 tire tax (PA), $1.90 messenger fee. I'm pretty comfortable with this dealership and have heard good things about them.
