I tried about 15 dealers from Medford to Sacramento (phone calls and web sites). Finally I went to Costco.com and put in my specifications. I was called from Hanlee's Toyota in Davis. (They are the Costco dealer in N. Calif but you have to apply through the Costco web site). He gave me a great price over the phone which was even less than carsdirect. He said he didn't have one on the lot but if there was one in N. Calif. he would find it. He called me about a week later. One was located in the bay area. I drove 230 miles to Davis to pick it up - no hassle, no hard sell, in and out in about an hour.

The dealer there would not go any lower than $700 off MSRP on an XLE AWD. Finally drove south 240 miles to Davis, CA.and saved $3000 off MSRP. I believe I have heard on this forum that it is hard to get a good deal in Oregon. As far as the sales tax goes, call a Washington dealer and check on that. I think that since you would be an Oregon resident, you pay the tax that is applicable to where you live. I paid the 7.25% tax for Siskiyou county instead of 8something tax for Yolo? county.

Re: Price Question - XLE w/ #15 [mfab #4028]: by weedshasta on Mon May 17 12:16:13 PDT 2004; I was told by the dealer in Medford that Costco excluded the Sienna, but I got the Costco price through Hanlees Toyota in Davis CA (just west of Sacramento). He gave me the price on the phone (which beat the CarsDirect price), and then he called me when he found a car with my specifications. I drove 240 miles and had no hassles at all. I got the XLE AWD with package 18 (DVD, leather, 6 disc) + floor mats for $32,750. That is about $3000 off MSRP.
