I just completed my deal on a Package 6, Non Touring and put down a $500 deposit. My price is $25,800 + TX & Licence & Doc Fee. Everything is in writing and on record. My car was not in stock so I'm being told 2 weeks to 30 days. That's fine, I can wait. I also told the dealer that I was flexible on a couple of colors and that I would also be OK with the Touring for another $500 if that's what became available first. The point is, hold your ground. Do your research on-line, then do your negotiating in person. A dealer will not let you leave the dealership if you are even close to the ballpark of a workable deal. Use that in your poker game of car buying. Remember that bluffing costs you nothing. Go to carbuyingtips.com and read the entire free site. It will save you $$$. Another thing. Dealers know that 85 % of all new car buyers will research the internet or go to forums such as this for pricing info. I personally know salesmen that spend slow time and rainy days signing up for free gmail or hotmail e-mail addresses so they can log onto forums, including this one, to scare everyone into paying MSRP or more. Think about it. It's the best and cheapest advertising possible. Good luck!

bought a Jasper Pearl Camry Hybrid today in Forth Worth TX area with pretty much same packages as you--dealer had only 2 TCH in stock---and only one w/light interior. Moonroof and the leather package w/power seats ours also has spoiler, pin striping, tinted windows, and maybe remote start---can't remember--did not use it so maybe not was.quoted 30000 on the phone after I sent an Internet request-- msrp list was 31986. Nav package was only "satellite ready"--got XM at discounted price we got better than Blue Book on our trade so my husband was happy. It was the first of the month so there were no specials and our area is BUSY--cars are not sitting on the lots so did not think there would be much more later--Had one guy call me after an Internet quote request and told me that his dealership (in different but close town) were not discounting TCH from list because they were so popular... we were not financing and we had difficult time finding the light beige leather interior with power seats---might could have gotten a better price but went to three dealerships dong test drives one did not have any hybrids, one did not have tan leather and did not want to search for TCH that did. ---so this deal seems to be OK--maybe not great--but not that bad. Now just hope the car works out to be a keeper... It is going to take some getting used to with the smart key and push start and the shift configuration-- getting a clear bra installed as well--anyone done that?
Re: Price Question from KS [chen123dian]

Yes, we bought it and that was our final price including the rebate. We bought in Missouri and live in Kansas so we had to pay tax and title seperately. I think we did "OK" on the price but I think we could have done better. If I had it to do again (I did a little more research), I think we could have done $500-$1000 better. It's hard to say though. Good luck!
Re: Hybrid Value in 5 years?? [unrevealable]

It was reasonable to be concerned about hybrid battery replacement costs in the early days of the first hybrid model, the Prius. Much less so now. Today, there are Prius cars with 200K miles and the batteries are still working OK, although probably at a reduced level. I know of no reason why the TCH should peform different. All hybrid components are guaranteed for 8yrs/100K miles, including the battery (longer in some states). The Prius model has been out long enough now for us to know if this was a serious problem. So far, it isn't.
2009 SE 4 w/ auto numbers

Here is what I paid for a white 09 SE with automatic mats and spoiler. Total purchase price was 21,666.42 Dealer Doc which they wanted 499 and got them down to 100.00 Total 21,766.42 Add TTT and I was on my way. Big kicker was that they did give me 1,000 more on trade in on my beaten up 03 with 150K on it and deer fur still in the right headlight from an encounter my wife had Monday morning. Once I added my insurance settlement the deal was even sweeter but that wasn't part of the transaction from the dealer. Also qualified for the 1.9% interest for 36 months so came out OK there too. For those in Georgia I purchased at Butler Toyota in Macon great people and I was in and out with the transaction in just over two hours (a record for me). It's a locator car so will be back on Monday to pick it up. PM me for the salespersons name and I will be glad to turn you on to him. Nice guy but you have to have your homework done to get the best deal as they will not give it to you. Ty

OK, that's not a rebate then.
