What I would suggest you do is go with the Tundra Double Cab with the AL package. AL has the bucket seat, alloy wheels, fender flairs. It does not have the TRD off road package but all this package has that makes a hudge diffrence is the all terrain tires which you can get yourself later and the bilstein shocks. Not to big of a deal. So the AL package truck is 33,127 MSRP. Take the MSRP 33,127 LESS THE 2500 dollar rebate equaling 30,627. The dealrship will work with you to get around your number of 27,000. So if you get the truck for 28,000 you can be at 504.58 for 72 months with an intrest rate of 8.9 pending your credit score. At 72 months WITH A RATE OF 5.9 YOU WILL BE AT 463.91 roughly. The dealership also has after maket leather heated seat just as good as factory if not better. The cost is 1,295 and 395 for the heaters. This is a rough estimate ofcourse. You should give the nashua dealership a try.
Re: Looking for a RAV4 4-cyl Base 4x2 in MA [jimbobear]
by javatechie on Sat Dec 16 15:13:26 PST 2006
I purchased my 07 RAV4 4WD 4-cyl from Toyota of Wellesley MA with following Options 17" STYLED STEEL WHEELS DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS 5-PIECE CARPET FLOOR & CARGO MATS MUDGUARDS ROOF RACK REAR BUMPER APPLIQUE OTD Price = 21,350 (Includes Doc Fee of $200) + MA sales tax + Lic plates The Edmunds & Costco Invoice price with the above options comes to 21,422 So mine was $72 below invoice. (Edmunds does not have the prices of Rear Bumper Appliqué, Mudguards & 5 Piece Carpets & Cargo mats listed) I negotiated all the prices over phone. Initially got the COSTCO pricing from Toyota of Nashua NH. They gave a competitive price $20,422. But the dealer was too far from my place and I preferred to buy it from a MA dealer Distance is a criterion as I have to travel twice. Once for signing the contract and again for taking delivery of the vehicle. Also buying a car from other state has the hassle of taking the car for a State inspection. Got the List of nearby dealers from Toyota site and called up 7 of Toyota dealers and asked for quotes. With the COSTCO price as base, tried to negotiate the prices down and the whole process took just 2 hrs. The OTD price from the following 4 MA dealers were close to the invoice Woburn Toyota 21,400 Herb Chambers Toyota Of Boston 21,350 Toyota Of Wellesley 21,450 Boch Toyota 21,388 Rest of the dealers were around $400 to $600 more than COSTCO invoice. I initially went to Herb Chambers and asked if he can further bring down the price a little. The Internet sales Manager was very rude and told me to either take or drop it. I was irritated and didn’t want to deal with them anymore for any price and walked out. I headed next to Toyota of Wellesley and told the sales man that I will sign the contract right away if he reduces his price by $100 and gives it at $21,350. He agreed and in 30 min’s the deal was complete. The total time I spent over phone and at the dealerships would be around 3 hrs. The max discount that I could have got more had I negotiated further would be 80 to 100 $ but it is not worth the time & effort. My overall experience at Toyota of Wellesley was good and I am pleased with the price I got. I have driven the vehicle for 750 miles and it is very smooth. The only issue, I am 6ft 2 in tall and the seating does not have a lower back support.

Hi all. Thought I'd post what I just paid and for what.... We had a fantastic salesman and love the whole Toyota Dealership he is at... If you are in the area..... check out Toyota of Nashua (NH)... 14,110.00 (includes destination charge) (7500 of that was a vw golf trade-in) Bayou Blue, manual, liftback, all weather guard pkg and power pkg with keyless entry, floor mats, rear bumper protector and a theft deterrent system. When I register my car in Mass. :( I'll have to pay 330.50 sales tax. I don't know what luck anyone will have as far as price negotiations as these cars are in high demand and come into the dealerships pre-ordered. But good luck! :)

Thanks. I had done that before but heard others say they had more information from the Toyota.com site. Last night I randomly chose a zip code in Pennsylvania and got a different menu to choose from and saw the details mentioned. In NH/MA we don't get the link but like you said, I can go to the dealer's site and see what they post. Thanks again. :) I'm anxious because it's been a little over 5 weeks since I put in my "order" with the sales guy in Nashua.... they have been running into trouble checking for my liftback with power package because the computer won't let them enter that option in to check what's coming in... One minute I hear they won't be getting any in New England with power package, then I chat with Toyota.com and they verify that indeed the power package is an option here... then I hear that it is, but none/not many are shipping here... I don't mind waiting but if I wait 5 months and my current car depreciates so much I can't get the trade promised somewhere else I'm fu%^$$#. :)

Hi Frank, NH does not have sales tax, so the OTD price was just $31,700 + $298 doc fee = ~$32k Had the car delivered yesterday. . .smooth, comfortable ride. Regards, John
Price Paid in Mass/NH

Greetings All, I just paid $31,700 for a 2006 Avalon Limited from Boch Toyota. It had Remote Start, VSC, Dynamic Laser Cruise Control, Floor Mats, & Wheel Locks. As for experience, the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. I had pre-negotiated the sales price with an Internet Sales Consultant, so assumed I just had to go in, sign the paperwork, and leave. Well, that was until I got there and found the color on the car was not the one I requested (can you say bait-n-switch). I did end up purchasing another vehicle with similar features, but had to endure a 3 hour marathon that included a change of salesperson (to a sales manager), a 25 minute wait where noone was communicating with me (the sales manager comes over and asks if I am all set, I said: You tell me, you're the last person I talked to, 25 minutes ago). All of this happens with a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. Of course I never would have brought the kids if I knew I was going to go through the ENTIRE sales process over again. To top it all off, this place was an hour drive from home. That was Thursday, I still do not have my car because they have to drive the car to NH to witness the registration. I was told Friday they would contact me today to tell me what time today they could get the car up there. I have three calls into them, and am still waiting to hear back. Oh, the joy of dealing with Boch Toyota. Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone was thinking of purchasing there. . .
