2008 sienna le evp #2 lease
by aseet on Fri Jul 18 23:27:02 PDT 2008
just got a brand new 2008 sienna le evp #2 lease at south coast toyota from dave in internet sales 562-230-7690. what an honest gentleman!!! with 0 down only 404 per mo! for 36 mos, 12kmi, 15cents after that. the residual is super low too at $13700 in case we want to buy it or trade it in for some equity at the end of the lease. the deal is so good that once we did the math it didn't make sense for us to buy it even if we want it for more than 3 years. i checked out every other vehicle under 50k with 3 rows of seats, this is by far the best one out there - it is kinda the only one out there that met our requirements (easy and safe for our kids, easy to drive, comfortable ride, space for us and our gear even with all seats in use). all of the suv's were a disappointment and the honda is not as nice as the sienna. plus it has toyota's newer 3.5v6 that is silky smooth and powerful. it would be a mistake not to call dave in internet sales at south coast toyota in costa mesa, ca - he will give you the deal over the phone on the car your want. i needed a ride there and he picked me up (nobody wants to go car shopping on a friday night).

A reporter from a large newspaper is looking to speak to consumers who traded-in a larger vehicle for a small compact car to save money on gas, but spent money on options to get something more comfortable and appealing. If you’re interested in speaking to the reporter, please contact Chintan Talati at ctalati@edmunds.com with your daytime contact information no later than July 9, 2008. I spec'd out an '08 Avalon Limited loaded except the navigation system, in the Kansas City area for about $32,200. I haven't bought it yet because I don't return from my overseas deployment until later this month. All of the KC dealers made offers ranging from $33,500 to MSRP. Same with St Louis dealers. I found a dealer in St Joseph MO, 50 miles north of KC that quoted the $32,200. When I go to make the deal, I'm going to try and get it below $32K or have about $500 worth of extras thrown in. My goal is $31,500 out the door. I figure I have the advantage because these cars are not selling. Also, I plan to try the Costco sales club car pricing service, too.

OK, we're starting to veer a bit far afield for the "prices paid" discussion. There are a load of other Prius-related and fuel-related discussions that make more sense for this line of conversation. Thanks!

Hey guys, Toyota has incentives based on locality, so you need to find out what the incentive is where the vehicle is being sold. Go to www.toyota.com and under Shopping Tools, click on Local Specials and put your zip code in. It'll come up with the local promotions. Please note that the promotion is based on where the dealer is located and not where you live/plan to register. For example, I found an XLE with EVP#1 in San Francisco area and plan to finance 0% for 60 mos through Toyota (vice $2,000 rebate). I went this route because Toyota didn't sell XLE with EVP#1 in Los Angeles area where I live - localized marketing at its worst! Plus, Toyota only offered 0% for 36 mos in LA area so it worked out great for me. Am picking it up this Friday. Woo-hoo!
Incentives

Can someone please confirm whether the $ 2000 cash incentive and the 0% for 60 mos financing can be combined or not? I was at a dealer on Saturday and he said they cannot be combined and was also telling me that the cash incentive is $ 1500 and not $ 2K. I had just gone for the test drive and what is confusing to me is the price of Toyota's option packages. I looked up on the internet and the EVP # 2 package is listed for some $ 384, but the car that I drove had that package (QF??) and it was listed for some $ 1500  This slick sales manager was doing his routine and he offered me a price of $ 23,900 for that LE plus everything else. I am hoping that would be Tax + Fees + title and not the destination. Well anyway, I said i was just here to test drive at this point and would still like to hear his best price so that I can come back later...he first said that was the best price, then as I went all the way back to my car and started my car and began to back up, he came running back and offered it to me for $ 22,900 if I did the deal right then. I laughed and pulled out of the dealership. This was without the financing so obviously it was a bad deal anyway and he would have added another $ 2K with everything else on top.
