I will be paying $24,324...a price I can live with. Salesman said it is $100 over his invoice. BTW I live in central Wisconsin. :)

Was this REALLY bad...helpless in NJ: by jacky908 on Mon Apr 28 21:14:58 PDT 2008; Please tell me how bad I got it in the you know where. Went this AM to Toyota in NJ.Looked at Rav4 limited 4X4V6. Showed me a demo with 5000 MI with remote starter, satellite ready Three mounths free, blootooth,security system,special mirror. Also, LA,SR,EJ,HD,CF,TO,RL. I had a trade, was doing great haggled to what I thought was 27000 OTD...he turns around and put my 2000 at the end so now its 29,000 OTD...I'm in shock he says I knew it, and I just fell apart...I signed the paper, Then the finance guy puts me with Toyota for 7.74% and says I have to wait 3 mounths before I can refinance with someone else at a better rate...is this true? My credit score is considered excellent I know I screwed up, but how bad...was this a terrible price.Any recourse?

I didn't even ask the residual because Toy dealer offered trade-in 15,000 on MSRP 26,000 ... 07 Honda Odyssey LX w/7,300 mi. Can't believe Odyssey has a depreciation of 11,000 for just 9 months. They want to make a big profit on the ODY trade-in. Kelly Blue Book is 21,000

Apparently the deal from Toyota expired 4/1, so I put it all together by 3/31 and leased it sight unseen. I did have some success negotiating the Gap, but nothing earth shaking. I put down $2400 and pay under $370/mo. with 15K mi/yr. The people there were VERY easy to work with....this is the third car I've bought from them. Work has taken me to West PA. and I'm getting 30-34 mpg in a lot of hills. Great car overall.

Odd to post how many miles are on a new car as most have under 100 in my experience so it's not a very relevant issue. So, yes you did very fine with your purchase. I dnn't get why it was a "loaner" car with 10 miles on it but whatever. Doesn't matter. I hope your JC Penny's suits treat you well my friend. I will keep buying my "used" Nordstrom suits. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
