MA vs CT Leasing
by yossarian3 on Thu May 01 13:49:48 PDT 2008
I live near Hartford and I noticed that the lease deal in MA is better than in CT. The same downpayment and monthly payment gets a Camry LE in MA, but it only gets a Camry CE in CT. Is there a reason why I shouldn't go to MA to lease? I've never leased before, but if I am able to lease based on the money factor mentioned here, isn't the major determinant of lease rate going to be the purchase price I negotiate?

We just picked up a 2008 Highlander Hybrid from Boch Toyota, Norwood, MA. It is a base model with a few options. MSRP $38,668, paid $34,832 plus TTL. $400 over invoice. The place is a zoo but it was worth the trip from Western MA where nobody is budging off MSRP and nobody has one in stock, anyway.

MSRP : 27,965 SELL PRICE : 22,488 The deal is off due to trad-in problem. I didn't even ask the residual because Toy dealer offered trade-in 15,000 on MSRP 26,000 ... 07 Honda Odyssey LX w/7,300 mi. Can't believe Odyssey has a depreciation of 11,000 for just 9 months. They want to make a big profit on the ODY trade-in. Kelly Blue Book is 21,000

I would wait...I'm just down the road from you in Hampton Roads and the dealership that I drive by on a nearly daily basis STILL has the original 2 Sequoias that they got in before x-mas.

The gas saving per year can be estimatted roughly as below, based on 12-K miles all city driving, saved 9 MPG (hybrid city: 27 - nonhybrid 4x2: 18) Hybrid gas consumed : 12,000 miles / 27 MPG = 444 GAL Non-Hyb gas consumed : 12,000 miles / 18 MPG = 667 GAL Money Saving on Gas per Year is between 669.00 to 725.00 equal to monthly lease payment of $62.00 667 GAL - 444 GAL = 223 GAL per year 223 GAL x $3.00 = $669.00 223 GAL x $3.25 = $725.00
