I guess not too bad a deal...: by schaeffz on Fri Mar 21 06:24:06 PDT 2008; Darcars Toyota, Frederick MD Prius w/ Package#2, $1400 under MSRP ($1 over "Invoice"), $22,310. Beat Edmunds TMV by $700, so I felt it was pretty good. Also, beat Fitzmall by $300. They were selling low-end Prius' like crazy, so I hit them at the right time. I got the Platinum Warranty for $1250, "Retail" is $1895. I guess the finance guy was in a good mood? Or maybe that's the going "discount"? Anyway, he was happy so I guess he gets a good paycheck. I always prided myself at not being taken in by dealer warranties, and have managed to get economical extended warranties. Funny thing tho is that I've never had to use them! So, I really don't know how easy it is to get service from those companies. But, this is a reasonable cost compared to other non-Toyota warranties, and I am somewhat worried about the Prius not being servicable other than at Toyota, so... I have a friend who had a Toyota warranty and his 2004 Prius display went dead after 30,000 miles, and they fixed it in a day for free, no hassle. He's got 133,000 miles and has had no other problems, but he's got an additional extended warranty, just in case.

We have been bouncing back and forth between DARCARs in Frederick MD and Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg, and we went through the internet sales group at each location. In fact, we went through Costco to get the original price at DARCARs. Fitz offered about $200 less than DARCARs. We close the deal this weekend depending on who gives more for our trade-in. We are excited to have an XLE soon! I thought this may be a pretty good deal, and it looks like that may be correct.

2008 Sport 4x4 Highlander: by avu on Wed Aug 08 22:42:40 PDT 2007; Just got a great deal for 2008 Highlander at DARCARS Toyota in Frederick, MD. 4WD SPORTS with Leather, JBL 6-disc changer with blue-tooth, moonroof, towing prep package, cold weather package, dual climate control...for less than $300 over invoice (including destination charge and no trade-in.) The salesman and manager were reasonable and pleasant to deal with. Then found on ebay an ad for base 2008 Highlanders by Ganley Toyota in Akron, Ohio for $25,138 ($100 over invoice.) Pretty unbelievable. Check it out and see you guys think?

Re: Price for an LE 6 cylander in DC metro area [telco59]: by nighthawk326 on Thu May 17 02:24:44 PDT 2007; Finding a Toyota Camry with no option will be tough, but a good price for an LE V6 (with no option) would be around $21,500 plus Tax/Title/Tag. One good dealership I know of is Younger Toyota in Hagerstown, MD. Fitzgerald has excellent online deals at Fitzmall.com. You can always use their price as the starting price-to-beat deal. Stay away from Darcars in Frederick, MD. They are so shady!!! They have a bogus website with fake invoice prices to convince the buyers that they are getting their vehicles "below invoice". Luckily, I did my homework prior going to the dealership, so I know what the real invoice price versus their bogus invoice price.
