The difference between those rates is fairly small, and the term left on your current car isn't all that long.. If you do the math on a $4000 down-payment (I'm guessing here), then the difference. would be only $150 over the life of your current loan (more or less). That's assuming that you make the payment against your current loan, and the bank credits it correctly.. Not worth it... Put as big a down-payment as you can on the new car.. Skip Starbucks twice a month and you'll come out farther ahead (there is your Suze Orman advice).. ;)

Exactly.. The car isn't yours, until financing is approved.. So, it's either sign the papers or give the car back. If you give the car back, and the 0% financing is over, you'll be out of luck. Since they just want to back-date the contract by a day, why not just sign the papers? You aren't out anything, other than your payment possibly being due one day earlier in the month. regards, kyfdx
