Well... yeah, with prior knowledge of the program, he might have done better.... and, as you mention, if you don't ask, you don't get... But, he got what he asked for, given the knowledge he possessed... I certainly wouldn't feel bad about it.. Every car deal can teach you a lesson.... maybe, he'll make it up on the next one! ;)
