Augusta, GA experience
by toyotadave on Mon Apr 02 09:57:41 PDT 2007
Experience was not that great. The local dealership only had 2 Yaris on the lot. Both starting at $14,600...automatic, and just more stuff than I needed. After explaining to our sales rep's boss what we were looking for (manual tranny, no frills) he tried to talk me into buying a Corolla. After threatening to go elsewhere he explained that the other Toyota dealer in the area didn't have a manual Yaris either. When I said threatening to go elsewhere, I was thinking places upwards of 100 miles away. After we both got on the same page, he told me he could order a manual tranny Yaris, with Convience pack for right around 13,300. I had the car the next morning and love it to death. My intentions were to just use this as a temporary car until I was able to pay it off, and then upgrade from there. After driving it now for a week...I might just hold onto it as long as I can.
Re: 06 HL V6 2WD with the least options added [anand4]

We just ordered an 06 HL V6 2WD with alloy wheels power driver seat, fog lamps today in Augusta, GA. with $1250 rebate (expires on 1/03/06) and year end dealer discount of $2550, the price is $24,100+tax+fees. The year end discount is supposed to be for the cars on their lot only, but we got a good discount anyway. We have known our sales person for years, and he tried his best to help us to get a good price from his manager. Try to go to a city with more than one dealer near by and get more than one quote. We have another dealer within 25 miles, but we did not go there because we think we probably already got as good a deal as we can for this popular model. Good luck. Try to do it before 01/03/2006 before the Toyota rebate ends.

What's the typical wait on an XLE?
by dparler on Wed Jul 09 16:23:43 PDT 2003
Well, here's my story. I searched around on internet and locally and found two dealers that were willing to give me a price break below MSRP on a "plain old" (new)2004 XLE ; we were specific about the model, color, options, etc. We wanted the Mirage Metallic (light blue) XLE with no additional options. (All you kids who pay $2000 for NAV, why don't you GROW UP ? -- Just kidding.) We live on SC/Ga line and Pitts Toyota in Dublin, GA and Taylor Toyota in North Augusta, SC were both willing to give about $1000 below MSRP. That was in late May; they may be tougher now. THe price was as follows MSRP $29,041 inc. destination, etc. Out the door $28,000 ... everything except tax, tag and title. We went with Taylor only because it was local/closer. The issue now is : Order placed 5/20/03. We were initially told "2 month wait; 2- 1/2 mos. max"... Now, 7 weeks later, we don't have an allocation, build date, delivery date, VIN, temporary VIN, etc... anything. (Good thing we're not in a hurry.) Is this unusual ? Should one wait 6-8 weeks for allocation and information on dates, and then another 6-8 weeks for delivery for the XLE's ? What are others' experience? (I've seen those listed thus far.) And, friendly dealers/salespeople of the Town Hall, what is your experience? Should I be ranting and raving or patiently waiting ?
Sienna on my mind - in Georgia
by jonjazzblue on Mon Jun 23 09:07:25 PDT 2003
I live in Augusta, GA and am looking for a 8-passenger Sienna LE (Salsa Red) with option 10 or 11. Will settle for a #6. Have discovered that I will have to wait 8 to 10 weeks AND pay MSRP. Local dealer and some in Atlanta are not willing to negotiate. I was subtly told that I should be glad that they weren't demanding a mark-up unlike some Florida dealers. :-( Anybody heard of a SE Toyota Pilot program that can get you a specific van faster? Has anybody actually paid lower than MSRP in GA? Thanks!
Jonjazzblue, try these two :

Try Pitts in Dublin, GA or Taylor Toyota in N. Augusta, SC. E-mail me and I'll send you salespeople names. Or try faxing them both and asking for their best price. I would suggest doing your research first so that you know the color, options, etc you want.
