That does sound like a real good deal. I was wondering whether you thought there might be more like that at that price. Did that include a rebate? If so, when was the rebate over? I'm wondering whether it would make sense to fly into Atlanta just to buy the car. Can't seem to find a deal anywhere near in TX.

That does sound like a good deal. What dealership is that? What does the ToyoGuard Package include? What is Atlanta's sales tax rate for cars? By the way, I was wondering - if you buy a car out of state do you have to pay that state's sales tax and then pay your own home state's sales tax, too?

Guys, I got an awsome deal on the last date of June. I just bought Corolla LE - Metallic Gray with Bisque interiors with Cruise, Keyless, Mats and ToyoGuard Package with 16.3 Drive out (including rebates) in Atlanta, GA. what do you guys think? Sammy

I don't have a breakdown, but one dealership has offered to sell a base model automatic (no options at all) for about $16,700 + tax, that includes all fees and the $750 rebate. So they probably are claiming to sell it for about $16,000, plus advertising, doc prep, etc. It would roll out for about $17,850 including sales tax. It seems that a lower sales price should be easy to get, but how much lower? I initially thought $300 less than the above would be reasonable, but does that seem to be too much/too little?

carnaught - I don't know if you would really call it a "custom" order; actually, it's really just getting on the waiting list (I was number 6) and telling them exactly what I wanted. I did not want "extras" added at port. It's very difficult to find a Prius configured with ONLY pkg. 2 and carpet mats. Most buyers want all the bells and whistles. I used a smaller dealer outside of the metro-Atlanta area (Heyward Allen in Athens, GA) 100 miles from my home and did accept a different color than my first 2 choices. The color choice really suits me.

Thanks for all the great input. Can anyone post MF and residual value for HL Sport in Atlanta area. Looking for a lease, likely 48 months. One dealer offered $477/month including tax, no money down for 48 mo, 12k mi/yr lease of Highlander Limited with options, no nav. This sounds pretty competitive. I would really like to be under $400/mo including tax and figured the Sport with leather may be a way to get there. Is it possible? Also, we put very few miles on our car (20k on current 36 month lease ending this month) and would consider 10K miles/yr. Will this help lower the monthly payment enough to make a difference (assuming a dealer will offer it)?
