Buying a car from a Toyota Car Dealer
In july 2008 Purchased 08 Tundra SR5 MSRP was $31,602. Riverside, CA Toyota took $11,000 off of the MSRP and gave me 4.55% financing for 60 months. There were a few dealers in S. CA that were advertising this $11,000 reduction. Riverside was not one of them, but they did match the price. Quality Toyota 10 miles down the road in Corona laughed at me a stated " Its all a game. They won't sell it for that price". Obviously, they were wrong. !!
I am looking for a 2009 Toyota Camry LE V6 with only standard features in Classic Silver Metallic for as close to $21.5k as possible as that is the price I have been reading people getting on this forum. If anybody knows of a killer deal like I am looking for on a Camry please let me know! Here are my results so far in my search for anybody else interested in the same car I am looking for. Quality Toyota in Corona, CA The best OTD price they offered me on the phone was $24k Riverside Toyota in Riverside, CA The best OTD price they offered was 23k but the car wasn't going to be in stock until this Friday. Crown Toyota in Ontario, CA Avoid this place like the plague as they do not have the decency to tell you no over the phone but resort to playing typical car salesman games. They offered me 22k I immediately went to their dealership, they showed me a 4 cylinder and I told them to show me the car I asked for then they said they couldn't do it for the price they told me earlier. The "manager" told me the best he could do was 25k.
Hi Giden~ Bought my '08 Prius Touring Pkg 6 last night (Riverside County, CA)...paid sticker $28604. The dealership was not doing any dealing and not asking for $3k-$4k mark-ups like the 3 other dealerships I contacted. I felt I got a fair deal and skipped the extended warranty and additional fluff. Can't wait to start enjoying the better MPG.
Its a very plain over priced long on the tooth old platform. It has to be one of the most uninspiring compacts on the market today. Then you look at Yotas thieving ways when it comes to the packages and the port/distributor's practices. And it becomes even a worse car. then you throw in there sorry dealers and you have a car worth nothing IMO. Lets face it. At 15205 msrp the car doesn't have anti lock brakes or floor mats standard. They are adders/options. The stock audio system is so bad its not funny. The standard system in my Ranger sounds better. I could have picked up a standard Fit w/AT for 13875 OTD. Fit has complete air bags, hey it comes with floor mats. Goes better, stops better, turns better. Then the Yota dealer / distro put a adder on for the floor mats and paint protection. Sticker came out to be 16440 on the car. Thats way to much for a near nothing car. Then you throw in the finance dude selling her GAP for 395 bucks. She can get it thru her insurance co. for less than 100 a year. And then he sold her 72 month / 100,000 mile extended warrenty for 1980! I just purchased it online. Same stuff for 670 bucks. so Im going to go in monday or Tuesday and cancel the gap and warrenty. I don't know about the rest of the country. But Yotas dealers here are really poo pooing in there own nest. Ever since Crow Brothers Toyota sold out to Riverside Toyota and Jim Norton got Toyota its been a cluster. I mean come on. A 715 buck dest. charge and its made in Fremont CA. I only paid 580 for dest. for my 07 Mazda3 and it was built half way around the world. And under 600 for my 06 Civic and 05 Accord. Its just not worth it to buy a toyota around here. I hope my daughter has a good relationship with her car. Cause she is just another Yota vic.
what is 27000? is that before taxes and stuff? what is your out the door price??? and what specification is riverside getting invoice on? a car with more options? selling an FJ for invoice? I haven't heard of many people doing that. for MSRP maybe. i already searched all over, talked to many dealers. The lowest i could get was 700 over invoice, about 2400below MSRP. pulling trigger today. if you are really buying it so cheap, we should meet up and start a SoCal FJ buying service.
