Re: Bought Toyota Prius Touring Edition Package 6 for $25997 + tax [bksing [gtguy1]
by bksingh on Tue Apr 01 20:42:54 PDT 2008
I sent emails to almost all the toyota dealers in the area aking them to send a price quote for toyota prius touring pkg 6. Some replied and some of them sent quote by emails whereas some aked to come to their office to discuss. I was able to negotiate with one of them for $25997 and asked him to send them the quote by email. Then I send another round of emails asking them to beat or match the price for the color I wanted. No one was ready to beat whereas a couple of them were ready to match. That convinced me that probably I am getting a fair deal. So I went with Piercy Toyota who were ready to match the price had one Silver Pine Mica Touring edition pkg 6 with just 1 mile on it Hope this helps. Gool luck with your search for your dream prius.
Re: Leasing vs. Toyota Touch Preferred Option [talmy1]

Whomever I spoke with at TFS was wrong. From the Toyota brochure: "At the end of your contract’s original term, you can elect to satisfy your final payment in one of three ways... 3. Return your vehicle to your Toyota dealer. Notify TFS in writing at least 30 days prior to your final payment due date." Called TFS back and said (politely) WTF? No one could explain the practical difference between the Preferred Option and a lease. So I'm no better off than before. But I did get this information: The Preferred Option is only offered in a limited number of states: AK, LA, NM, NJ, NY, RI, MD, CT and possibly one or two others that I can't remember offhand. I'll probably never get my answer but the question is moot, since I live in MA. I'm guessing that it has something to do with variations in state law. I'm not going to argue with you, talmy. If it was available in MA, the Preferred Option would have been less expensive than a standard lease, although not by much.
Great buying experience at Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Chambersburg, PA
by deanv on Sun Nov 26 19:13:08 PST 2006
Thanks to this forum's info about Fitzmall.com, I checked their website for prices on FJ Cruisers and found they were selling for $400-$500 over invoice. I purchased mine for the exact published price with a few easy emails and phone calls. I live in Alaska, so it was important to me that the purchase went smoothly when I flew into PA. The purchase was even better than I had hoped. I was picked up at the Harrisburg, PA, airport by a great sales guy and was in and out of the dealership within an hour. The savings over buying from my local Toyota dealership more than made up for the cost of my trip to pick up the car and drive it 3,300 miles home. The trip was a vacation for me. Fitzgerald Auto Mall is a first-class group of dealerships. There's lots of information on their website about their pricing & it's well worth reading. I'd be happy to discuss further details of my FJ purchase and how I like the vehicle (love it!!) if anyone would like to message me.

Well sales are good but most of the problem right now is the transition to 2007s. Fitzmall usually has 40 RAV4s, but only a few for the last month almost. Since I am guessing that Roanoke is in the SE region try this: Go to www.toyota.com , go to build and buy and enter your zip code. This should show you the SE region stock which is 900 RAV4s in or coming in. from there you can see what your dealer or other dealers have by playing with local zips. SE region has awefull prices and fees. If you are flexible and go to www.fitzmall.com you can get your RAV4 for $200 over invoice + $99 fee. in Baltimore MD.. Fly up there on a Southwest internet fare for $50, they bring it to the airport and you might save $1000 or more versus your local dealer. lots of people on the net have done it. One guy all the way from Little Rock, AK! Good luck
Bad Experience At Dealership Today
by joecarnut on Sun May 21 18:02:58 PDT 2006
We went to buy a 06 corolla le with side airbag package. We filled out paperwork and then they said they wouldn't honor the price. Unfortunately I didn't have it in writing as it was late in the day and he wanted us to come down right away as this was the end of a weekend sale. He said over the phone it was 13,888.00 plus ttl. Then after we got in he said he made a mistake and they the dealership would only sell it for 14888.00 plus ttl. He said he was sorry and didn't know they wouldn't honor the friday ad on sunday as they usually always do. So we aked for all our paperwork back and got out of there quick. Is it legit if paying by check, that you need to fill out a credit application for homeland security purposes? Or any ID purposes whatsoever? He was telling us we needed to do that. Thanks
Price Paid Limited 06
by denali1 on Thu Nov 17 21:52:02 PST 2005
Picked up my Avalon Limited a week ago. Did the deal on e mail with a local dealer, Nye Frontier Toyota. Their Business Development Center (aka Internet Dept), replied to my inquiry. They offered about $2000 off MSRP.I eventually got them to get to $2900 off MSRP, but I worked it from invoice up, which was about $1300 above invoice, and they thru in carpeted mats. I think it 4.4% over invoice. Dealer very good with providing invoice info, etc. Car was in transit from Kentucky when I closed deal. When I took delivery, everything was as we agreed on the various e mails. No tricks or surprises. However financial guy tried to charge me nearly $2100 for an 84 month/75k ext.warranty.Was stunned when I showed the print out from Toyota Financials Website showing cost was $1300, which was still too high, but I bought it for the website price. Just too many bells and whistles that can break down the road.
