Never thought I'd see the day when compact cars would cost about $20,000! We are not talking about mid-sized sedans. It's outrageous to think that we are being told that paying upwards of $17,000+ is a good deal for a compact car that gives us 35 mpg. Seriously, a couple of years ago you could get a new Corolla for $12,500 - $13,500. I'm so tired of the crappy deals dealerships are giving me on Corollas. I've just decided to wait until fall or December/January when there will be more rebates because the '10 Corolla will be coming out. I'm looking to pay between $15,500 - $16,500 on a new Corolla with cruise, keyless and mats. Cruise/Mat can be optional. I used an internet site that is supposed to make good deals for you. I received an e-mail on yesterday from a dealership in Anniston, AL (about 45 minutes from me) where I can get an LE with just standard power locks/windows for $16,188. I'm gonna check it out.

The original manifest which included only 60,000 people has been expanded to include all that currently have a Sequoia registered in their name.
Re: 2009 Toyota Corolla LE - Drive Out 16.3 - Atlanta, GA [rospotte]

Yes, Price includes Rebates, TTL for Atlanta. The county i stay in is 7% sales tax I would suggest 2 things to keep in mind. 1. Buy only at the end of month. Becuase the dealers were desperate to make a sale they came down on the price 2. Because you stay in TX , try visiting Lousiana / Missisipi, where i am sure you can get a better pricing. If i had gone to AL, I am sure to have save another $300 easy but the OTD price i got in Atlanta is still not as bad. As far as I know , you pay sales tax for the county/city/state you currently reside in. You don't pay taxes 2 times. Buying any trim is a matter of individual choice. If budget is a concern, try to keep the options to bare necessity. Also, the options installed by dealer are little expensive and you can get those options installed by a 3rd party contractors at half the cost. Most Important: I found out the following website when researching for the car cost. Very helpful website. I would highly recommend to read it first before a purchase. Also, please use the calculation sheet provided on the website to calculate the cost of car that you may be looking for. http://www.carbuyingtips.com/car4.htm Happy Buying!! :D

Hi Mizzrivera, I live in Birmingham, too. Did you get the Toyota LE for $15,550 out the door? Are all taxes and fees included in the amount you quoted? If so, I'll head on over to Serra Toyota! :)

If the MSRP of the Sequoia is a little over $50,000 you can find deals of between $13750-$14500 of total savings with the cash back and loyalty cash back combined. I wouldn't expect a dealer to go out and find you one at these prices and you will have best luck with dealers with 20-30 of them sitting on the ground. The difference in prices you are seeing in AR, LA, MS, OK, and TX is due to they only have $3000.00 cash back instead of $5000.00 cash back. Southeast Toyota is a private distributor and has its own programs and incentives which differ from the rest of the nation. Simply put, if anyone is going to buy a Sequoia, SET is doing what they can to sell them here.
