Five Star Ford North Richland Hills
Good salesman, bad experience with sales manager.
I purchased a new vehicle from Five Star Ford a couple years ago.
The buying experience was good, so they were our first choice when we decided to look for a new vehicle.
We found our former sales person Alfred El-Darazi .
Alfred is a good guy, very important to him to satisfy his customers and make them repeat customers.
He was very anxious to find us a vehicle.
Be aware Alfred is high energy, so things will happen pretty fast!
We had a certain type and configuration of vehicle in mind, but Five Star did not have any on the lot.
Alfred immediately offered to have one brought over for us to look at.
We were not in any hurry to buy, and told him we would not be able to come back until the following weekend.
Alfred disappeared to the sales manager’s office to arrange for the vehicle transfer, and returned with the sales manager in tow.
Once I laid eyes on him, I remembered him from my last visit to Five Star.
He was the only wrinkle in an otherwise pleasant buying experience a couple years earlier.
He came up to us an shook our hands, asked us what we were interested in, and then proceeded to tell us that he needed a purchase commitment from us in order to move a vehicle from another dealership.
I was a bit put off by this statement.
I asked him if he really expected me to make an offer on a vehicle I have not even laid eyes on yet.
He was serious.
My wife then asked if they could tell us where we could go to look at the vehicle.
We were told they would bring it to Five Star… but they needed a commitment from us to do so.
I guess I was more amazed at the fact that I walked into a dealership with money to spend, and I was being dictated to as to how I had to spend it if I wanted to do business with them.
This sales manager thought I needed Five Star Ford in order to buy a new vehicle.
Any possibility of me spending a dime at Five Star died when I was told I had to make an offer on a vehicle I have never seen or touched.
My money spends just fine anywhere I go, and it was not going to be spent at Five Star ever again.
We left very disappointed in how we were treated.
To his credit, Alfred continued to try to help us.
He had the truck moved to Five Star despite the conversation with the sales manager.
He tried for the better part of the week to get us to come back and look at it, but the damage was already done.
I whole heartedly would recommend Alfred to anyone going to Five Star.
We did try to get a quote from Five Star using Edmonds.com, but all we got were calls and emails to come to the dealership to discuss a vehicle.
They knew what we were looking for, but provided no pricing other than what we were initially told at the dealership
We ended up at a Bankston Ford.
Much better deal than what was being offered at Five Star.
Great salesman, good sales manager as well.
We were treated well and with respect.
