McDavid Honda in Irving gave us the best deal on my husbands new CR-V within a 200 mile radius. Our sales representative, Michael Insall, was extremely helpful, thorough, and polite. Our buying experience was completely worth the 3.5 hour drive. I found the CR-V on edmunds.com and called on a Tuesday. Michael communicated quickly throughout the week, even texting us photos of the car and a video of him explaining the upgrades. Mr. Lacy quoted us a price and held true to his word two days later when we finally made the trip that Saturday with my parents. There was no pressure and no rush. The deals they were able to make at McDavid Honda in Irving were so incredible that my mother decided to buy a new Accord and I even traded in my van for a new Odyssey that same day!!! Waiting to begin the financing did take a while but once we were in the office, they did not disappoint! Thank you Michael, Kal, Lacy, Leon, and Dirk. We love our new Hondas!!! Again, everyone was personable, kind, wonderful, and very easy to talk to. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know.

The whole buying experience was great. The both sales reps I worked with, Ann Stone and Michael Insall, were straight to the point, efficient and effective. The whole buying took very short time and they were very courteous and professional in bargaining the deal. They got what I needed very quickly and I am happy with the car I bought. The only thing I would change though is the no. Of F&I managers they have. The finance portion took longer than what I wanted.

I came into this dealership completely unprepared. My car had been totaled and I was in need of a new one. Fast. I wasnt even sure if I wanted to buy or lease. I was able to make the decision pretty quickly with a monthly payment I felt comfortable with. Everyone made sure I understood everything I needed to, so I could leave feeling safe. James even helped me set up my Bluetooth in the car.

I was in the middle of a 5 car pile up in January that totaled my car and had to shop for a new one pretty fast. I'm new to the Dallas area, so I was shopping in OKC and Dallas. I was contacted by about 8 different sales people after I decided upon a Honda HR-V. Ann Stone from David McDavid of Irving was the only person to treat me actually like a person. She was a delight to work with since she was helpful, honest, and straightforward with what I needed. She was also very personable and worked hard to get us the best deal possible. I was having a pretty awful time with other sales people and dealerships, but am so glad to have gotten in touch with Ann. I love my new HR-V and would highly recommend going to her with any new car needs.

Avoid this dealership at any cost. They will give you a good looking out of door price but their interest will be so high you cant even imagine. And the finance guy will treat you like a dumb person. Everyone is very mean and rude which made the whole buying experience very painful.

They advertise cunningly with huge discount but do not inform you inflated add ons they installed (2500), destination fee and what not . Be ready to get a surprise if you visit them. Of course they will not email you the quote!

Want $2K more than the Advertised Price

Typical bait and switch dealership. Advertise a teaser price online, confirm that they have the stock in the ad when you call them. Tell them as soon as you get there that you want to buy the car for the advertised price, they take me for a test drive (that experience would be 4 stars, the salesman, Nate, was pleasant). I like the car so sit down hoping to see some paperwork with the price advertised... They did actually put that price on the paper, but then said they had already put in a ProPack for $799 (really, $800 for a rubber trunk tray($114 list/$76 from online Honda dealer parts), wheel locks ($56 list/$37.50 online Honda dealer) and mud flaps/splash guards ($104 list/$70 from online Honda parts) So $274 list total???), $299 for pin striping (ridiculous, I didn't even notice there was a pin strip on the car...was it blue on blue?), $399 for tint (only thing that is really useful but only worth about $150 at fair market prices), and $299 for floor mats (OK, useful too but worth about $150. List $142, $96 from online Honda dealer parts department.) Next to the price in the ad it says +TTL, no superscript number, no asterisk... +TTL. The New Car Sales Manager, Ronnie, comes out to explain that it "clearly states in the ad that dealer accessories are extra." Ronnie, please!!! I wish I had asked him to read the text to me from the ad on my phone. So small you couldn't read, but also, not so "clear". The dealers as said " Dealer installed accessories vary per vehicle and the quote is for the vehicle as it sits". What quote, you ask? Well, since the "fine print" seems to apply to the ad, you would assume that "the quote" is the advertised price. Apparently, since " we are not responsible for any errors, omissions or typos contained in the above information", they aren't responsible for having any truth in advertising in their ad. So useful. By the way, all these disclaimers are in a tiny statement at the bottom of the ad following an asterisk...but there is no asterisk next to the prices to indicate that it isn't the real price.

Going Above and Beyond

Yesterday I bought a 2014 Civic from Felix Ndingwan at David McDavid of Irving. The experience was smooth and pleasant. When Felix asked about my trade-in, a 1999 Civic that likes to overheat and stall out, I told him I thought the car was a total loss. But Felix insisted that it was still worth something. I explained that my husband wouldn't let me drive it all the way from far East Dallas to Irving, because he didn't want me to get stranded, and he couldn't help me due to work. Felix offered to drive back to my house with me and personally drive the trade-in all the way to Irving. I was astonished. The car I'd first arrived in was my husband's Toyota RAV. The Toyota got a flat tire in the parking lot, right after I showed up at David McDavid. Felix took my RAV to have the tire plugged and even had the RAV washed while I waited for finance to complete my paperwork. I've never experienced such great service.

There employee forged my wife's name on a cancelation document.

One of there employees forged my wife's name on a cancelation document.This allowed David McDavid to get a almost $3000.00 refund. They did this after my wife left. Wr had a well known handwriting expert verify this. Then they talked down to us and treated us like we had done something wrong.
