onSummary- The sales man was more interested in pushing payment options on my clearly stated test drive visit than with helping me to get a car.
When shut down I was treated like a waste of time.
I would give his name as he had the gall to give me his card after our interaction.
However it is requested that no personal information is shared.
My experience-
I went to test drive 2 cars, was delighted to see a 3rd I was interested in.
The associate that came out to greet me was more interested in how I was to pay than helping me find a vehicle.
When saying I was interested in just test driving he asked how I was going to finance.
After telling how I was to finance he asked which bank I was going through, and commented on how they were in line with that bank's rates.
I had to tell him "I am not here to talk about payment, I am here to test drive some." Before I was even able to bring up which cars I was there to test drive.
He asked how many, I told him 3. This was too many for him.
He told me "If you plan to buy today you can test drive all three."
I did not want to waste my trip to the dealership, so I asked him if I could test drive one car.
He told me to give him my drivers license and full coverage insurance.
I do not have full coverage insurance, I have not needed it.
He told me that without full coverage the best he could do is drive the car for me.
I don't disagree entirely with this.
However being a test passenger in a car helps no one get a feel for how it handles.
So, trying to salvage the situation and get to at least see how the car felt I asked if I could sit in it.
He agreed and told me he would be right back with the keys.
I went to the car and looked at the surrounding ones.
It was taking awhile and just when I was considering leaving I noticed the car lights flashing on and off.
Then they flashed again.
I looked up and he was standing still at the entrance of the dealership with the keys unlocking the doors with the remote.
I was through with the whole situation.
I sat in the car I was looking to buy after I made sure it fit how I like to drive. Got out, told him thank you and committed to not going back, even if that dealership has it or any future car I am interested in.
They have lost my potential business.
