Excels at customer service

Went to have a service done (get oil changed, filter, tire rotation, and wheel balance) and found out that my alignment was off. The customer service was excellent in communication in regards to my vehicle. Their prices however, were not the greatest.

Damaged vehicle, rude treatment, & sarcasm- CUSTOMER BEWARE ​

CAN NOT SAY enough, customer beware! Please read full post before doing business with them. Dropped my truck off (Wyatt Johnson GMC Clarksville) JUST to have my bumper replaced. Ordered a BRAND NEW bumper shipped to their door & asked that they have it painted & replaced. Picked my truck up 5 days later, SCRATCHES ON EVERY SINGLE PANEL OF MY TRUCK!!!.. wheels, hood, roof, doors, bumpers (INCLUDING THE NEW BUMPER THEY JUST PAINTED), doors etc. Showed their service guy & took pictures before even leaving their lot.​ ​ Talked to the General manager via phone, visited my detailer to assess damage & estimate to fix all scratches, & then took my truck back to dealer to show them the damage. Met with Service manager David, GM James Conley, & Owner Sidney Johnson. Mind you, my truck has over $23,000 of aftermarket parts, was built for shows, & I take immaculate care of it myself. I personally hand wash my truck 1x week w/a brand new microfiber towel each time. My truck is ceramic coated which means you have to use a compatible soap to wash it. I still have the text where I told the service guy who scheduled my truck- DO NOT WASH IT. Supposedly the body shop they subcontracted the work to (Price's Collision) washed it.​ While meeting with these 3 men all they did was try to bully me. FYI 3 grown men vs 1 young lady (me). They gave me the whole car salesman spiel of "oh, I've been doing this for 20 years & there's nothing here that won't buff out", despite that my detailer told me AND put in his quote, some of the scratches were so deep that they wouldn't buff out. They then argued that since my truck had been on the road for 1 year there was no way for them to know the scratches weren't there when I dropped it off. Funny because- EVEN THE NEW BUMPER was scratched right after just being painted so that right there shows that the scratches weren't there before! After saying that they tried to guilt trip me & make them look good by saying "well you have to understand we're frustrated too. We aren't the one who damaged your truck but yet we are going to write you a check to fix it & make it right". When asked what they were going to do if the scratches don't buff out the owner told me he didn't have time to stand there & talk "what ifs" & we could talk "what ifs" all day refusing to answer because he swore up & down the scratches would come out. When I asked yet again to get an answer the owner escalated the issue by getting sarcastic & raising his voice & said "what do you want me to do be an open checkbook to you!? what do you want me to do, stand here & write you a check for 5 grand!? What am I supposed to deal w/the damages of your truck for the rest of the time you own it!?" Shortly after he said he needed to personally speak with my detailer & that I would have to scheduled it. I then asked if they were going to provide me with a rental car since this would put my without a truck for the 5 days it would be down to be buffed, wet sanded, & re-ceramic coated on any panel that they had to buff through the ceramic coat. The owner told me he wouldn't provide me a rental because he didn't want me in one of their cars. Despite that I pointed out to him that my truck was damaged in THEIR care, had to be fixed due to what THEY did, he still refused to provide a loaner car. I literally had to ask if it would be better if I contact an attorney & the BBB to get him to FINALLY agree to give me a rental car while my truck was down.​ ​ Since my detailer was backed up the owner asked me to find a detailer that could do it ASAP. Found a detailer the next day- $400 cheaper & could get me in sooner. Called the dealership & went full circle all over again. Now all of the sudden they only wanted to fix it if I used their guy. I asked for info on who this guy was & they told me to just “trust them”. I asked if this guy does ceramic coating & they didn't even know! They were going to take my truck to "their guy" & they didn't even know if he did the same work! I told them I wanted to look this guy up since last time they sent my truck to "their people" we ended up in the situation we are now. After continuing to ask who "this guy" was, the owner (Sidney) got on the phone practically yelling, said "fine, we'll do it your way", refused to give me a rental, said he would just throw $100 in there to make me rent my own & then added "why don't I just throw 50 bucks in there for lunch so you can buy yourself lunch too!?"​ ​ Check was written, the whole amount had to go to the detailer, didn't even cover the amount of the rental, he didn't throw "50 bucks for lunch" so he was being sarcastic, & my WHOLE TRUCK had to be buffed, spots wet sanded, & fully re-ceramic coated. All scratches DID NOT buff out & my truck STILL isn't back to the condition it was when I dropped it off JUST TO HAVE MY BUMPER REPLACED. Dealer has done nothing to fix the issue of my truck STILL being scratched & has washed their hands of me. Apparently they think its ok to take advantage of young women.

We bought a new 2016 GMC Canyon... The finance department went through GMC Financial and we signed all the paperwork and left the lot... then GMC kept calling to verify our information which we provided on multiple occasions.. the sales department let us leave the dealership without a fully funded vehicle... Then the truck we traded in was never paid off resulting in a charge to my account for a vehicle that they had for nearly a month.. we had to go resign paperwork... So for our "troubles" they gave us a gift card... Then another week goes by they finally went to the bank to pay off the traded in truck... They was 20.14 short so I had to pay for it out of pocket... They said they would issue me a check for tj difference and I never received it. Then they called and said they went through a local bank instead of the GMC... So we got a 500 dollar rebate.. by this time we was expecting our first truck payment.. then we get a text from the finance person stating she took the rebate and wrote off the difference for our loan for the trouble...Which they didn't have permission to do!! The whole process was unprofessional, the untrained staff needs to learn there job and get I correct! Stay away from this place not only will your loan be wrong, they wont even call you until it's too late and you notice it! And you might have a truck not even funded so they will repo it.. I even asked about my money I spend on a truck they traded for and they responded with ask your bank... They never called for a payoff!

Thanks for treating me as if I was a very important person even though I just the average person. For those that completed different task on my vehicle; Thank you for the professional job that was done by each of you. Every where I looked nothing revealed that your efforts were needed. Pretty difficult to do when door panels are removed. Total experience was outstanding!

Great service as always!

Service reps are very accommodating and easy to work with. We specifically use Doug as our rep and he always does right by us. Even when something was not covered under our extended warranty, later on, he would work hard to get us the best price he could on parts and labor. I wouldn't buy another brand vehicle just because I probably won't find another service rep and/or dealership that is as pleasant to deal with. I don't fear and have never regret coming here for service. I've heard, but not personally experienced, that sales is just as pleasant, or at least as pleasant as negotiating a new vehicle purchase can be.

Worst place to go. Twice in a month I found out how bad. After dealing with a robbery needed new keys and fob. I got a key and told call back. Called back then I was told they never said that. Said it was my fault they didn't know I needed one. How did I know I needed to call back then?

Timely repairs

We called one morning distressed about our 2006 HHR displaying warnings on the dash & our fear of driving it out of town. A Wyatt Johnson employee-Ashleigh Fuhrman referred us to Doug Seay in the GMC service dept, & when we got there he took our vehicle straight in , called us with their findings & had car repaired in a couple of hours. We really appreciate all of them & their professionalism, friendliness & prompt attention.

Dealership Fidelity to Purchaser

My wife and I determined that we wanted a GMC truck based on a color she had seen on a local truck at our home in Huntsville, AL (after we purchased, she admitted that she had misidentified it). By internet search throughout Alabama and Tennessee, we found one at this dealership in Clarksville, TN. Negotiations were completed by internet, and upon arrival at the dealership to take possession the purchase was completed as agreed. The dealership General Manager and coordinating sales people could not have been more helpful.

W-J had several choices of the model that was advertised with the special financing, so I was able to buy the one that I liked the most. My salesman, Shannon Moats, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional.
