Back to prices paid and experience....: by sb69coupe on Wed Jun 27 11:31:12 PDT 2007; I just placed a deposit with my local dealer, Southern States Subaru in Raleigh NC, for a 2008 7 passenger Limited in Deep Bronze. They are doing a dealer transfer from a dealer who is ~120 miles away. I'll be picking up the vehicle on Friday. MSRP of $35,305, selling price $32,300 and out the door for $33,710 including tax, tag and doc fee. I did the entire deal via email/phone and used the pricing from www.fitzmall.com as a reference for negotiating. I used this same method back in 2001 when I bought my '02 Outback LLBean from them. It was painless, and providing a concrete reference to show what price I can get via a short train ride and drive home really provides a great negotiating point. The Tribeca is going to be a 40th birthday present for my wife. It will be the vehicle that finally allows me to gain possession of my Outback. I drove the Outback for about a week before she declared it as her own, and relegated me to the Honda Odyssey.
