2012 Outback 2.5 Premium with 6 spd by blueiedgod on Wed Jan 04 18:20:31 PST 2012

I just test drove a 2012 Outback 2.5 with Premium package and 6 spd manual transmission. First impression is that the clutch travel is much longer than what I am used to on a Honda. I currently have a 2005 CR-V EX with 5 spd manual. But, Honda really dropped the ball, there are no AWD/4WD Honda products that come with manual transmission... What is everyone paying for those? Salesperson told that to find a manual with sunroof is going to be almost impossible... Any truth to that?

Hard to get a good deal post-earthquake? by ajrosen on Mon Jun 13 13:28:17 PDT 2011

I just test drove the Outback 2.5i (automatic) and I was pretty impressed. However, the pricing I was being offered was a lot less impressive - the premium with AWP was sticker $27,377, and they would only take $500 off. Edmunds TMV is $25,336. I'm seeing a TMV and reports of people getting the Limited for about this sticker price! I'm seriously considering this car, but am I just not negotiating well, or is there no more room for haggling since the disasters in Japan? For $27,600 (TMV for the Limited), I'd buy. May even take the moonroof if it's only $1000 more. FYI - this is in Buffalo, NY. Thanks for the help!

Re: 09 Outback SE Automatic [txag2000_2002] by longboat2008 on Fri May 15 18:44:57 PDT 2009

Thanks. Today I went to test drive a 09 Outback SE automatic, MSRP 26K and the dealer will not go under 22k (before TTL) and told me no one in the U.S. will sell it under that price. I am in Buffalo, NY. I don't understand why the price here is that expensive? Where is your dealer?

Re: 08 Forester XT Lease? 09? [Car_man] by mojo6666 on Sat Jul 19 09:35:48 PDT 2008

The local dealership told me that the buy rate for a 09 Forester, 24mo 15000/yr lease was .0027 not the .0023,The 71% residual was the same. Is this correct? I live near Buffalo NY , do these rates change in different areas of the country? What would the buy rate and residual be on a 09 XT Forester , same term? Do you have a chart or that you could post with different terms , mileage etc.?
