2008 Tribeca Lease question
by jetfan on Tue May 06 09:35:35 PDT 2008
Not much traffic here. Not sure if it is just gas prices keeping people away from these cars. Anyway, can someone please let me know the current lease deals & terms for a 7 pass Tribeca. Looking to do a 3yr lease 12K a year. I am in NJ. Test drove the car & got some numbers back in April. Pretty sure they had a $2500 rebate. Looking to get the Limited with 3rd row & DVD. Is invoice a good staring point or will they go lower?
Re: Subaru Impreza 2.5 Auto, 5 Door w/ Prem Pkg Pricing [redsnare]

I am a happy new owner of a 2.5i Auto 5 Door w/ Prem Pkg. Picked it up from Ramsey Subaru (http://ramseysubaru.net/) out in New Jersey. My sales price was $18798. Here's my buying experience: 1) Went to edmunds.com, sent out requests for quotes via email to Subaru dealerships in NY and NJ (I'm in NY) 2) Within a few hours I got a phone call from an Alex P. from Ramsey: - "You're looking for the 2008 2.5i Auto w/ Prem Pkg?" - "Yup." - "Sale price is $18798" - "That's below invoice" - "Yup" 3) Got a call from a few other dealerships. Format was about the same: - "You're looking for the 2008 2.5i Auto w/ Prem Pkg?" - "Yup" - "Why don't you come down here and test drive the car" - "What's the sale price?" - "We're very competitive. I can't discuss price on the phone because I don't want you to shop my price around other dealerships" - "I'm looking at $18789 sale price from Ramsey out in NJ, can you beat that?" - "Those numbers don't add up. Our invoice is $19*** that's what we paid for the car. When your deal doesn't work out, keep us in mind" 4) Called back Alex to talk about financing - "I want a dark gray one" - "Do you want to put a hold on the one coming in in 10 biz days: $500" - "Yup. Credit card it. Can I get 0% financing - I have excellent credit?" - "For 2 years it's 0% for 3-5 yrs it's 3.*%" - "I'll do 2 years. How much do I have to put down?" -- oh did I mention this is my first car, period. - "You're doing 0% financing right? So no need to put anything down, it's someone else's money... I'll just put your deposit towards it to cover expenses and we're done." - "Awesome, thanks" 5) Ten days later, as promised I got a call to pick up my new car. Got the VIN number. Set up car insurance with Geico - got temp certificate to take down to the dealership. 6) Drove to the dealership - they're open on Sat. There the process took about 30 minutes. I saw the car. I met Alex + Team. I saw the buttons in the car. I got free all-weather mats. I got comped VIP owner's membership - so now i have some coupons. I also purchased a Subaru-provided warranty extension. Got the 3-yr bumper to bumper extended to 7 yr or 70,000 miles. This is my first new car and I won't be putting many miles on the car - so it's perfect for me. That cost an additional $1688. All other options like added security and what not, the Sales Manager just crossed off the list in front of me as he said I don't need any of that... Got the keys. Got temp, non-resident plates good for the next 20 days. All from Ramsey. Got into my new car and drove home. Will go back there in 2 weeks for perm plates (I signed a Power of Attorney form there so they can do the set up on my behalf). That was it. Now I'm thinking of something good for vanity plates.. Pricing breakdown for NY/NJ: 1) Sales Price: $18798 2) Extended Warranty: $1688.00 3) Aftermarke: $129.50 4) Sales Tax: $1725.55 5) Documentar: $289.00 Total: $22770 6) Deposit: -$500 Total: $22270 All this financed for 2 yrs at 0% with $500 down. I believe I got a good deal and had a good experience. Hope the anecdotal (but un-exagerated) narrative helps fellow newbies with the purchasing process. My friend and I both bought Subarus from Ramsey and my bro will probably purchase his 2002 Impreza Replacement from them as well. There ya go - cheers...
2009 Forester 2.5X w/premium
by firstsub on Mon Apr 28 19:36:18 PDT 2008
Just bought my first subaru! I was looking for a larger vehicle than my 2006 Altima so I could tote camping gear, kyacks, and take the girls back to college. I 'm in the car for business for 28,000 miles a year so comfort was my first consideration. I felt cramped in the cockpit of both the CRV & the RAV4 with the RAV4 feeling the most cramped. My right knee kept hitting the center console and the cloth seats seemed very hard to me .. I stopped at a Subaru dealer early in the hunt & looked at the 2008 Forester. Looked very spartan to me. Dealer suggested wating until the 2009. Finally test drove the 2009 and loved it. The drivers seat was very comfortable with plenty of room for my legs. I deceided to purchase. However, I am very dissatisfied with the Yokohama G-95 tires. VERY NOISY. I can't stand it. Contacted Yokohama and they are replacing .. I've selected the Yoko AVID H4S. I'm hoping this will quit the ride. Here's my pricing: 2.5X with premium package Aero Bars Rear bumper cover Cargo tray All weather floor mats Cargo net Wheel locks invoice $ 23,155 PZEV paid $ 23,300 not sure if dealer pays for PZEV($200) if so invoice would be $23,255. Shopped by internet.. Came down to 2 dealers.. Bill Kolb JR-Rockland County NY and Libery Suburu- NJ just over GW bridge. Both we're $100 of each other. Bought at Bill Kolb.. Very happy with them . No extras or hidden charges and very professional.. Could have saved $600 at Fitzmall howvever felt I wanted to have a local dealer if I ran into any problems.
2 Forester 2009 Quotes
by kofasetic on Sun Apr 06 15:06:11 PDT 2008
I reside in NYC and received 2 quotes for a 2009 Forester 2.5X Premium (9FD). I wanted a 36 month/10k/$0 money down (sign and drive) based on a MSRP of about $25K and these were the results: Dealer #1 (Englewood, NJ): $345 mo/12k yr/ with tax Dealer #2 (Long Island City, NY) : $350.23 mo/10k yr I presented the dealers the lease worksheet, which includes ALL, from The LeaseGuide and asked them for the numbers so I can calculate lease payments and they just did it themselves. I requested again so I can double check the numbers and then they presented me with the above monthly rates. These are based on MSRP not any Adjusted Cap Cost (i don't have a trade-in). Any feedback will be much appreciated.

I to am looking to lease a 7 passenger Tribeca - just a - base not a bells and whistles model. I havent gotten a price yet but was wondering if anyone has so I can look for similar 36 month/ 36 k miles/ as little down as possible (probably $500) There is a good factory lease on the base model but that is only the 5 passenger - I am hoping to be similar with a 7 passenger but this vehicle seems to be in short supply in the NJ/NY area

It really comes down to this - do you like turbos? The GT will give you that kick in the pants. The TSX is fun but just can't match the GT for acceleration. Then ask yourself: will benefit from AWD? Do you get a lot of snow?
